- Q: here's the portion of the psu's specifications from a website:1 x 24-pin ATX Motherboard1 x 8-pin EPS12V Motherboard1 x 6-pin PCI-E4 x Serial ATA1 x 8-pin PCI-E4 x 4-pin LP4 Peripheral Device1 x 4-pin SP4 Floppy Drive... i'm getting a phenom II x4 cpu, am3 motherboard, sata hard drive, dvd drive/burner, and radeon hd 4870 which needs two 6-pin pci express connections for power... would my psu have enough cables/connections for all my components?... from what i've read, the 8-pin pci-e cable is also a 6+2 pin pci-e cable? if so, then i can use the 6-pin pci-e and the 8-pin pci-e to power up my 4870? only helpful answers pls. =]
- The latest AM3 motherboards I've seen all have a *4* pin CPU connector. It's somewhat common for power supplies to have a 4+4 CPU power connector. The specifications for your listed power supply list an 8-pin (EPS12V) motherboard connector. Unless that is a 4+4 configuration, you won't be able to power your motherboard with it. Other than that, the power supply would probably work OK. If you need a different power supply, check out a Corsair 650TX. That has the specifications and connectors that it will work OK with your video card and CPU, regardless of what motherboard you choose.
- Q: I have my friends PC at my house to change a few components but apparently the PC doesn't work properly. I insert the power connectors ( 20 and 4 pin connectors ) into the motherboard, plug the power cable into the PSU and when i turn the power button on the PSU the computer will start but do nothing. It never worked like that before, i always used the power button from the computer to turn it off and on. And this happened just after i changed a PSU. Now the old Power Supply doesn't work either. Is there any way to stop the computer from turning itself on ?
- Something is broken. Likely the motherboard, but could be the PSU.
- Q: I have bought a 1.5 ton window AC from Blue Star recently and used 2.5 sq mm cable to power it through a 16A DP MCB.Can the load be supported in this scenario?
- I asked this same question 3 times, and didn't get a good answer
- Q: I need the cables/cords for the Xbox 360...all the cables/cords
- It is easier to get wifi and hook it to your x box if u need the cord for x box live
- Q: What is the name of this computer psu power adapter cable from psu to 9600 graphics card....?
- PCI express 4 pin to 6 pin power adapter it takes the 2 4 pin molex connectors that connect to a fan or a CD rom or hard drive/ect into 1 pci express 6 pin adapter. People use them if they don't have the 6 pin pci express on their power supply they use the adapter to connect extra 4 pin molexes to use for their video card/devices
- Q: I bought a LG Plasma TV, it comes with 3 Ferrite cores, two of them is a little bigger than the diameter of the power plug and it's not tight on it and one is small, is it effective to but the bigger one one the power cable?
- They should be tight or glue to the cable. Many cheap made products ignoring this simple process to speed time consume to produce more. Because those workers were paid by piece work.
- Q: I'm trying to install a GeForce GTX 460. It came with a supplemental power supply cord, one end goes into the card, and there are 2 heads on the other end, and i can only find 1 place to plug in a single head into my power supply... When i turn the computer on the fan on the card turns on so i assume enough power is being given to the card, yet when i log in and put in the Installation disk, it says quot;not foundquot;... i already locked the card in, and i tried re adjusting the card multiple times but that doesn't do anything so i'm sure putting in the card incorrectly isn't the case. help! :(
- You are taking a chance of burning up your PSU and your card. The card might perform ok under basic desktop situations, but when you try to game it is going to drain your PSU for all the power it can get and probally fry the +3Volt rail that the single molex connector is on that you pluged the PCIEx16 6pin pigtail up to. This might even cause a short of your motherboard and or ram on the motherboard, and could even lead to a frying of the CPU as well. Or maybe not, just a chance you are taking...
- Q: please tell me and same question except for 6 pin cause i have one of each
- If you buy a high-end video card, it may need an auxiliary power cable plugged into it. It's easy to forget these if you're not accustomed to needing one. The auxiliary cable is probably going to be a 6-pin PCI-Express power cable, possibly a pair of them, and the latest video cards may even use a brand-new 8-pin design.
- Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on.Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turned off by itself. But every since it doesn't wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?well, I bought a power supply, and with the new power supply, nothing comes on - not even the squeezing noiseplease help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!
- i believe the unique provide replaced into probable effective.... basically no longer completely 'firing' because the burden is in mistakes. a short or different mistakes on the feed area is undesirable. this way of means provide reacts to, and is managed through, the burden. hard to describe! At any price, the problem would nicely be contained in the workstation and under no circumstances the means provide itself.
- Q: My Xbox 360's power supply cord is very loosely connected. I've tried to push it with force, didn't go further. Games lag a bit (GTA IV, for example) at graphically expensive situations. Simplier games like Limbo and Worms run without any problems. I think my console suffers from voltage drop because cable isn't properly connected.Power cord looked like this already when I connected my console for the first time. Now my Xbox 360 S is only couple of days old. Please tell me what your consoles look like. Power supply's light is also orange. Not yellow, not red - orange.
- It's not possible to drop voltage as you said. It's either connected, or it's not. The power won't wain. It just won't work at all if not properly inserted. But if the power cord won't seat properly in a brand new console, you're still under warranty. I'd get it replaced if I were you..
