- If you want wheels to spin for a very long time, you should do your research on bearings. The bearings make the wheel spin and if you get really good ones, your wheels will spin really nicely. You should also get lubricant for your bearings in case if it becomes a little sluggish. I know Bones Ceramic bearings are really expensive, but they are really good. A larger wheel size would be better, but i'm sorry to say that i don't know if the durometer effects the spin of the wheel. Good Luck :P

All skateboard wheels are made from urethane which is plastic. like adidas said, there are certain hardness for the wheels, softer wheels are great for street skating they grip good and roll over any type of terrain, the harder and bigger the wheel the faster it'll roll. most wheels i'd say are about 92a-99a. that's medium to hard and 101a being the hardest usally good for vert skating.
