- Im Using Ricta wheels Chrome cores size 54mm. they ride well. the point here is some ricta wheels have wide wheels making them go further. then i picked a larger wheel, size 54mm which makes my board higher to the ground giving me a lot of leverage on pushing and travels faster. what you need to look for is wide and tall wheels. but avoid spitfires and Girl Wheels. Try Bones wheels, Ricta , Darkstar wheels are nice too, and other hard wheels. JUST NOT SPITFIRE, they chip and crack a lot.

- They are designed to make the wheels sit out farther from the axel, basically widening the stance of the wheels. It is the cheapo way to widen your car's wheels without getting new wheels or something. So for $30 you can widen where your wheels sit. They are of course, much more prone to failure and they put alot more stress on the car. I do not recommend them.

- skateboard wheels range from 40mm-60mm the most common ones are in the 50mm range. The bigger the wheel the faster you'll go. Vert riders used bigger wheels like from 55mm and up. street skaters use smaller wheels. the smaller the wheel the lower you are to the ground making flip trick easier. I use 52-54mm it's not that big of a deal really if you use smaller wheels like a 51-53mm and have low trucks you'll probably need a riser pad to stop from wheel bite, which is when the wheel hits the deck and stops. I recomend an 1/8 inch riser anyways it helps the board from flexing around the truck bolts and making hairline cracks which is why a lot of skateboards brake. The best size of wheel is up to you as a beginner i'd start off with 53 or 54mm and good bearings like bones reds.
