Q:it does the same in 4 wheel auto. when I hit the button to go back to 2 wheel I can hear something clicking & the 2 wheel lights up as should: When you push the button and it flashes then goes back to where it was,it means that it won't complete the shift. Most times,you can hear the motor move meaning the system is trying to make the shift. Most times its the Encoder Motor Sensor that needs replaced. I'm pretty sure year 2000 up to 2003 you could replace the sensor only. The sensor is not telling the Transfer Case Control Module(TCCM) that it is to the position requested,so it goes back to the last known position. Just unbolt the Encoder Motor from the Transfer Case,the sensor is under the plastic spacer where the shaft sticks out.

Q:My check engine light is on and i got it check at Auto Zone. It came up as an emission vapor problem. I replaced the gas cap.( reset the computer) It came back on. The motor is running fine and there have been no other problems. I search all the hoses for cracks and leaks and cannot find one. Any idea what I should do next before I take it to a garage?: Very likely a stuck evap vent valve, but only a diagnosis can verify that, unless you want to gamble on my educated guess alone. That is the most common evap system failure and the part is relatively inexpensive and simple to replace (it's at or near the evap canister).

Q:grand cherokee limited V8Problems:1) Left brake light is not working when the park lamps are on and aslo rear left park lamp goes off at same time. When the park lamps are off everything works fine. I understand that the problem is not the bulbs. 2) Passenger side always flows cold air :( I tried all the combinations ( Auto, manuel, a&#92;c, lo, hi, 80f etc...) In all conditions the right side of the climate system flows cold air.Thank you very much, waiting for help...Oh! by the way front speakers blow in 2 days (tweeters): on brake lights it sounds like you have a short in the circuit board for the left side light or the socket the bulb is in jeep sells the whole board with the lights in it it's pricey and for the air and heat problem sounds like your blend door is not working right go to a jeep dealer and they can hook it up to a scantool and work the doors from the scantool and tell you which one is not working right it will cost you but get it done right the first time
