Q: I need to run power cables from 4 fans on my stacker 830 around the edges of the case and into the power supply for cable management purposes. The fans I currently have, have power cables that are around only 10 inches long. Any ideas?
Can you solder? If so, just clip the wires then splice on extensions. Add heat-shrink material, solder connections, shrink the material and you're good to go.
Q: how do i install the power cord on the 8600 gts. Is just attaching one of the two receivers on the cord to the graphics card and the other end plug in one to a power thing the right way.
Some specialized power supplies have the power cable built-in and you can plug that directly into the card. If you don't have one of these, then the card probably came with a cable that requires you to plug in two 4-pin power cables (same type that plugs into your CD drive off your power supply) and then the other 6-pin end snaps into your video card.

Q: Hi my new computer's new power supply supports voltage from 100V - 240V. But the power cable's plug that came with it does not fit my country's. It will be pci-e power connector(6or8pin) and should be connected, depend on the card as to how much power it requires, google your card numbers tdp it will tell you the max wattage of the card, best to have a supply with 250w + the cards wattage at least

Well I don't know of any extension chord that could replace this fairly crucial component . I think you should look for another one with a friend that maybe has a broken xbox or an old pc.. Q: So I was replacing the processor in my Laptop (Inspiron M5030) and I accidentally puled apart the cable connected to the power button. i'm sorry, yet it rather is an somewhat unusual question. Why could it no longer be secure to plug something right into a surge protector? Are there contraptions obtainable for which an electric powered surge is a good factor? No, i easily do no longer think of so. unusual.
Q: Most systems are about 1 thousand watts, the red power cable is really thick but then the speaker wire is really thin about 12 gauge, shouldn't the speaker wire be as thick as the power cable?
No. Wire thickness is about current (and length). And current is inversely related to voltage. When voltage is high (like an amp's speaker outputs) it takes less current to make power. When voltage is low (like a car's alternator/battery) it takes a lot of current to make power. Alternator voltage is ~14v. Amplifier output voltage is commonly 20-40v. Your 1000w example... Say it's a fairly efficient class D mono, 1000w at 2 ohms and 80% efficient. To produce that 1000w requires 1250w from the alternator at around 13v. Ohm's law says current (I) = power(p)/voltage(e) So I = 1250/13, I = 96A On the output side -- I = sqrt(p/r), I = sqrt(1000/2), I = 22A

there isn't any other way......just hold the edges of the cable(tip of the cable - the black part ) and pull it out(pull it harder till it comes out)......dont worry you wont damagae your hard disk by doing this
