What are a good brand of door speakers for a truck.: you need to amp the speakers. even aftermarket stereos put out less than 20 watts rms, stock stereos put out less. look around for a good 4 channel amp, capable of delivering 50 watts rms @ 4 ohms per channel or more, this is the best way to get loud, clean sound, you don't even need new speakers. if you really don't want to add an amp, search for speakers with high efficiency ratings. efficiency is measured in decibels @ 1 watt and at 1 meter. the higher the efficiency rating, the easier your speakers can be driven by your stereo and the louder they will be. An efficiency rating of 95db @ 1w and 1m or higher is what you want. check out polk audio. if i remember correctly, their mm series is pretty efficient. be wary of cheaper brands advertising high efficiency ratings. they are usually lying!! check to see if they are cea certified.

You will have to buy another sound card that supports 5.1 or 7.1. Each digit stands for a speaker, and the .1 would be your bass. If your asking how you connect your bass to the 2.1 system, usually the bass is a biggish box, that is connect to your computers sound card, and your speakers then connect to the bass.

Through the intel extreme audio settings i can change the mic and line in from inputs to an output. You can always get a double adapter plug that goes from a 3.5mm stereo plug and goes to a 2 3.5mm stereo jacks, this makes the same audio come out from both of the sets of speakers.

I know speakers have different ohms independence,and when you hook them up in series it increases the ohms .If you hook them up in parallel you decrease the speaker ohms.This might be your problem since you have to match the speaker ohms equal or more to the device that you are using to play the speakers.

Your tv should have an audio output either in RAC jack or coax/optical. You can buy a cheap speaker and connect them for sound. Best if you have RCA jack output (red and white for left and right).
