Q:Is it safe to vacuum dust out of my Xbox 360 with no harm to the Xbox if I have not cleaned the inside of the Xbox for 7 years?
It's absolutely not safe, vacuum cleaners produce static electricity which can fry the system.
Q:Alright, we've lived in this apartment for a year and three months, and we're on our third vacuum cleaner. The first two were Eureka's, then we bought a cheap bissel this last time. I had been taking excellent care of my vacuums, right down to washing the dirt cups, filter and cleaning out the carpet brushes with every use. I couldn't figure out why we were going through them like we were, but everyone suggested that cat hair is clogging them and burning them up. The newest started acting up within two uses (and it's not a large apartment, and we have one cat who hardly sheds, and we clean on a regular basis. Anyways, I tore the stupid thing apart to find MOUNDS of cat hair clogged in it. There was at least enough to be the size of a softball in the hose. So, how the heck is this thing clogging so fast, and what can I do to prevent it? I can't be tearing the stupid thing apart after every use, I refuse to shave or get rid of the cat and I can't exactly just stop vacuuming. Help me please!
I used to have cats (now have dogs!) and my all time favorite vacuums for cats is the Fantom. Has a bin and no bag, you can see what is going in, is easy to clean after each and every use. The first time I used it, It filled up with so much cat hair (keep in mind I HAD a vacuum I had just replaced!) that I emptied it over 10X just vacuuming the dining room, which wasn't THAT big! I was stuptified! Seeing all that cat hair was really an eye opener! So I suggest finding a GOOD vacuum, not a cheapo one, and one that has the container that you can empty (I have seen others says they HATE them cause they are messy to empty, I do mine over the trash can outside into a box I pick up from like Sams Club. I have found stuff I didn't know was in there, jewelry, earrings, money, you name it). With a bag, you toss it, not knowing you threw it out! Plus with the canister, I can what is going in and if anything is going in or not. I know clog has happened, which RARELY happens, since I can see what is going in and how fast, I can adjust my speed or decrease it too! Hope this helps you! Good luck!
Q:how many brands are there except Shark navigator?have u tried them? are they really easy?
The okorder /... I believe that Hoover originated the lift off design a few years ago. I've not used this one, but I have seen it kicking around warehouse retailers when was first released. To be honest, I think that the lift off canister design is far more hype than actually useful - regardless of the brand name. The theory of a smaller, portable vacuum is good, no doubt, but having to carry/hold the vacuum in one hand while you operate it with the other kind of defeats the purpose.
Q:Of all the Miele Vacuum cleaners out there currently which Miele Vacuum is the best, why is it the best, and where can I get it at a good price?
Being okorder /
Q:I'm going to college and I have a little apartment by myself with beige carpeting. I don't have a vacuum, but i do have a swivel sweeper. Can I use clean-then-vacuum cleaners? Or isn't it powerful enough? And, if not, what could I use to help keep my carpets cleaner than they currently are?
I never liked those dust buster on a stick things or the sweepers that just pick up things like popcorn kernels. I was stuck with no vaccuum and sweeping the living crap out of the rug with my corn broom (stiff bristles) did a presentable job until I was able to inherit a hand-me-down vacuum from a neighbor. Make sure you put the word out that you are needing a vacuum and not above hand-me-downs.
Q:I just bought a Kirby vacuum cleaner and I was wondering if they are really that good or did I just get ripped off for 2 grand ?
We bought a used '94 Kirby in 1996. We paid $400. for it. I like the powerful suction, but it also comes with drawbacks. The following are my opinions about this Kirby: 1. I don't like the cost of replacing the filters (they're about $8. a bag and only have 3 bags in a package. 2. It's not easy to change from vacuum to using the hose. 3. It's kind of heavy and bulky and doesn't maneuver easily. In my opinion, it's not worth it. You can purchase a bagless Dyson for around $500. and they work great. Does the $1800. price include all of the attachments? Do you need all those attachments? Are all the bells whistles worth $1800.?
Q:So I went on a trip, and I put my clothes in SpaceBags to save space. Problem is, there's no vacuum in the hotel for when I'm repacking to go home. I only brought one bag, and there's a one-bag limit. No carry ons. What do I do about it?
Ask the Hotel's housekeeping staff if they have a vacuum you can borrow Buy another Suitcase and pay the Extra Bag Fee. Stuff as much as you can into the suitcase. if you have someone who can keep sitting on the items and pushing them down. Go to a local shipping store and have them ship any extra items back by something like UPS/FedEx. If you can do without things for a few days, sending it ground may be a cheaper alternative to buying the extra suitcase and paying the extra bag fee. Decide what you no longer want to have and find a local charity to donate the items to. Leave them in the Hotel for them to just take or throw away.
Q:I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....
For okorder has all sorts of reviews of different vacuum models with some pricing (accuracy of the pricing is questionable sometimes though).
Q:I want a vacuum cleaner that will pickup pet and human hair and not clog up. Which one of these would be the best?
Hi there, I work as a technician on vacuum cleaners and of the ones you have selected I would definately pick the bissell. It will cost less to maintain when compared to the hoovers and is much better quality than the shark one. You will also find it will need less tlc than other competitors. The dyson is a slightly lighter machine to use but in all honesty it's not that much better than the bissell. Hope this helps :)
Q:I know they're like vacuum cleaners but is there anything they absolutely cannot have, aside from chocolate?
Grapes, and raisins (dried grapes), and cheese can make them constipated.
