- Q:okay where can i find either a girraffe or polar bear rug.
- I have never heard of a Girraffe coat or rug or a Polar Bear coat however, to find a Polar Bear Rug now may be very difficult and expensive but I would try the yellow pages in my community and call all the furriers listed especially if they sell Fur skins. You could even try the fur auctions such as the North Bay Fur Auction. Sorry I don't have a number.
- Q:Im laying carpet in my house and was doing some online shopping and came across carpet tiles an easier much cheaper slternative to carpet. My question is are they worth it and can you tell its tiled when your done? And how long do they last
- Carpet Tiles are sort of the DIY answer to laying carpet, since some people find the thought of unrolling the whole 12' roll and cutting it to be a bit daunting. Most of them will come with a 6-8lb pad attached to the bottom, but some come as a flat lay commercial style as well. They're comparable to the actual rolled carpet, but over time they are a bit quicker to show wear and fray, and the visibility of seams really depends on the installation. With the newer technologies, they've made it so they blend in very well, but only if put down properly. The lasting factor comes down to how you treat the carpet and what kind of warranty it has. Obviously, the one with lesser warranties will go a bit quicker, but the same can be said for high traffic areas vs. low traffic. On average, they don't last quite as long as standard roll carpets. I usually see them installed in basements or sitting rooms, not usually entry ways or bedrooms. Just make sure you do some research on the brands and check the warranties before purchasing, and good luck if you do decide to go through with it :)
- Q:What does carpet mean?
- wooly things.
- Q:What color of the tablecloth match well with blue carpet?
- tablecloth: Blue, green, orange, pink
- Q:The carpet rubber floor is glued to the floor. How can it be removed?
- Hand cream. First, the surface of the printed products tear off, and then put some hand cream on top, slowly rub with your thumb, rub for a while, you can rub the residual gum are rubbed down. Just slow down. Hand cream is a kind of grease, which is not compatible with gum. Remove glue is to use this characteristic.
- Q:I'm remodeling a house on a tight budget. All the carpet needs replaced and I was wondering if anyone has bought carpet from Ollie's Bargain Outlet? If you have, is it a good choice and will it last a long time? I was also looking at Lowes carpeting. A good friend of mine told me that Lowes carpeting isn't very good in the long run. Has anyone had any problems with it? (I'm installing the carpet on my own if that makes a difference)
- Hogd NEVER start learning a trick on grass or carpet. By doing this makes learning a trick even more extremely difficult because: 1. If you get too used to the carpet, you will be too afraid to try it on pavement. (which happened to you, and sorry, skate parks aren't made of carpet.) 2. you won't get the entire feel of the trick by doing it on carpet. It is good sometimes to to a trick on carpet when your first learning the trick, but only stay on the carpet a couple minutes, don't get too used to the carpet, only practice the trick on the carpet once or twice, then go straight to pavement. P.S Don't ever give up, try the trick on pavement, and if your still afraid, try putting safety equipment on when trying to ollie, so you feel more secure. Ryan.
- Q:Me and my husband have been searching apartments for rent and 90% come with carpets. Being both from Europe, we are not used to the smell of carpet. We just wondered what happened in this country that so many people use carpets.
- After WWII, wall-to-wall carpeting was considered a luxury-- something that signified success, etc. Previously, homes were built with wood floors and people put down area rugs for comfort, warmth, and to muffle sound. For several decades after the war, just about everyone who could afford it had wall to wall carpeting--- soft for the feet, comfortable to sit or lie on, etc. I've even seen bathrooms and kitchens carpeted-- how impractical is that? But people wanted their homes to be like soft nests... a cozy refuge from the 'cold cruel world'. Newer homes in the U.S. have gone back to more wood, marble, tile etc. because people like the look and the cleanliness. In older homes many people are ripping up the carpeting to refinish the underlying wood, if it exists, or put in new flooring. As people have become more aware of the effects of molds and dust on our health, many people want to avoid carpets, which trap such things. Things come and go in fashions, including in home decorating. One reason, however, that many apartments still may be carpeted is to dull the sounds for the people who live below. If the apartment was not built with good sound insulation in the floors and walls, carpeting helps to absorb noise, and makes living close to others easier. Newer buildings have much sound insulation, so, while more expensive because they are new, they will have less carpeting. I, personally, have some parts of my home with natural wood and ceramic tile, but the family room where everyone tends to sit/lie around on the floor as well as the furniture when we watch movies etc. is thickly carpeted. We are very casual-- and the kids like to roll around, do somersaults etc. and the carpet is soft. (and relatively clean)
- Q:I have a puppy that is a year old and she still isn't fully potty trained(shes a lot better than she used to be, but still has accidents) plus i have a toddler and normally have many other children here- leaving spills and stains. So for the past year I have used my carpet shampooer A LOT but am now concerned that it may have mold under it or in the padding. my mother keeps telling me they aren't a good thing to use and they will create mold. So I am wondering if it would be moldy and if so how I can get rid of the mold? Thanks!:)
- If the carpet isn't hairy, and you don't smell anything odd, tell your Mom, The carpets fine. And get the dog trained, or that will cause an odor. She's old enough to be completely housebroken.
- Q:We have a fairly large area rug in our living room but over time it has become wrinkled. I don't want to buy a new one yet, so how can we get it to lay flat against the carpet and not bunch up with stubborn wrinkles anymore?
- Steam it and hand it over a banister.
- Q:I recently threw up over a large area of my carpet. I have already removed the vomit but now I must remove the smell. I have used a mixture of vinegar, water, and soap, this seems to be working but I then used a pet odor remover to finish the job. I plan on vacuuming cleaning and adding the carpet foam and baking soda over the area. Should I do that? Do u guys have any suggestions to remove the vomit smell from the carpet? Thank you.
- Trying using laundry soap. Mix hot water and laundry soap scrub area than use clean hot water to scrub up area than vacuum up with a shop vac. I think it works well. Or if you want to get something at the store get Rug Doctor's Pet spray. It works great on smells and stains. All you do is spray the area than put a wet warm rag on it and leave it over night while it drys. Good luck!!
