Other than not being able to go offroad as much as a 4WD. 2WDs are usually less expensive. Cheaper to fix and generally not as complicated as 4WDs are. You will be fine in the country with a 2WD as long as you remember that hwen driving off the highway. 2wds will still go through alot of muck with a good set of mud tires but be careful.

If you know the height (the diameter), then obtain the circumference using c pi*d 241.9 mm. (Remember to account for the tire in the height measurement.) For each revolution of the wheel, the wheel moves forward (or backward) 241.9 mm. So if the wheel is making 100 RPM, it is moving at 24190 mm/min, or 0.4 m/s (or 1.45 km/h). The width of the wheel does NOT affect this, BUT wider wheels tend to have higher profile tires (see my comment above about the tire and height measurement). Also, the width of the wheel does not significantly affect the maneuverability except that it adds to the friction required to turn the wheel (a larger contact patch will resist turning more than a smaller contact patch). The main difference that the width of the tire has is in traction and rolling resistance: a wider tire offers far greater traction, but since the pressure is generally lower to maintain a decent contact patch, the rolling risistance is higher. Q:My rear driver‘s side wheel is vibrating on my 2001 Hyundai Sonata. It seems to vibrate worse at highway speeds. the wheel vibrated with my old tire (before it went flat), with the donut, and after 4 new tires and a front end alignment (for an unrelated vibrating issue), it continues to shake the entire vehicle. But I have also noticed that when I go around a left curve, (and turn the wheel to the left), the vibration disappears. When the wheel is straightened back out, the vibration returns. I‘ve heard it could be the wheel itself, but the donut is a completely different wheel that still vibrated. When I take the wheel off and turn the rotor, it doesn‘t spin smoothly, and makes a scraping sound during the revolution (possibly rubbing on the brake pads?). Is this part of my problem? I have had the entire wheel bearing assembly replaced in that wheel within the last 2 years. Any advice on what this could be would be very helpful. Thank you.
Has anyone done a radial and lateral run-out? This is where they check the wheel assembly for lateral side wobble and radial out of round. It starts with the entire assy, moves to the rim and then the hub.
