I don't want to get the 'home studio kit' and don't want wood flooring. So where can I find cheap marley flooring? Thanks :): There is no such thing a cheap marley and you cannot put marley directly on cement. Marley is meant to be put on top of a sub floor that is sprung or floating. Even the portable marley with the foam backing which is the most expensive one, has to be on top of a floor with some give and never cement. The only way to put a dance floor over cement is to isolate it from the cement by raising the floor up and using a floating floor or sprung floor. Then you put marley on top of that if you can afford it. You can however just dance on a wood floor as long as it is isolation from the cement floor and is sprung or floating.

Ikea must sell these as well. They do cheap to a whole new level. Any cheap store I've been in for any reason seems to have these available. Get out there and look. This is an easy find.

Cos getting the professionals are too expensive.: Parquet floors are easily damaged by exposure to moisture. There is a point where you can't fix them, they have to be replaced. Ask again with pics of the floor for a better answer.

Q: We are dealing with bouncy floors in our mobile home. We pulled up carpet and padding and tried to pull up the plywood and it will not come up easy. My husband thinks that the plywood is glued to whatever is under there (after we removed nails etc it won't budge) Is it okay to lay an outdoor grade plywood sheet over the areas and do we lay the new plywood on the exact same spots or stagger them? Also, nails or screws to hold it down?Thanks!!: If it is really plywood, and has no rotting, I would lay more plywood on top. However, if it is not true plywood, but rather chip wood or particle board, rip it up and get it the heck out of there. Nothing but trouble, that stuff. Better to get it out now, than deal with repeated headaches from it for years to come. EDIT: yes, the walls are built on top of the base floor, but if it is particle board, you can chisel through it at the base of the wall. It means that you will have to trim each sheet of plywood that goes near the wall before installing it, but so be it.
