Q: Hey guys, Last year i painted my garage, its a concrete floor, and the garage floor. It looked really good and i always gotten compliments on how good the garage was. This year most of the paint on the floor just pealed off and it looks bad. i think i needed to apply sealant after the paint which i didn't. I did apply 2 coats of paint but still the paint didn't hold.I'm going to repaint the floor again but any suggestions on what i could do this time to prevent what happend over the winter. Q: I have an old slate floor in my foyer and I want to polish instead of replace.: I'd have to agree with Sandra. Slate shouldn't need polishing. It's possible someone may have waxed it previously? If so, you'd want to use a mild wax stripper & a scrub pad. Once that's cleaned up thouroughly, it should shine (if it is slate for sure?) After that, Windex works good.

Q: My floor is falling out and it's wet but the moisture is not coming from the ceiling how would moiature get under my mobile home to the point of rotting the floor and how do I stop it: You could have a leaking pipe underneath the trailer where the moisture is, or if it's near a wall the water could be coming down inside the wall from a leak at the edge of your roof or a pipe inside the wall. The only way to stop it is to find out where it's coming from.

Q: I installed a floating floor and it seems that water can penetrate between the seems. how could I seal these?: Buff the floor with a floor buffer that has a white pad and a 220 grit sanding screen on the bottom. Then seal the floor with a sanding sealer, then follow that up with a coating of floor finish. I suggest Bona traffic floor finish.
