Construction Hoist Description:

Also known as a Man-Lift, Buckhoist, temporary elevator, builder hoist, passenger hoist or construction elevator, this type of hoist is commonly used on large scale construction projects, such as high-rise buildings or major hospitals. There are many other uses for the construction elevator. Many other industries use the buckhoist for full-time operations, the purpose being to carry personnel, materials, and equipment quickly between the ground and higher floors, or between floors in the middle of a structure. There are three types: Utility to move material, personnel to move personnel, and dual-rated, which can do both.

The construction hoist is made up of either one or two cars (cages) which travel vertically along stacked mast tower sections. The mast sections are attached to the structure or building every 25 feet (7.62m) for added stability. For precisely controlled travel along the mast sections, modern construction hoists use a motorized rack-and-pinion system that climbs the mast sections at various speeds.

Q: What fundamental specifications or conditions must be met to operate a building hoist with a hydraulic pump?

To use a hydraulic pump to power a building hoist, several basic requirements must be met: a reliable power source, a suitable hydraulic pump with the correct pressure and flow rate, a robust and leak-free hydraulic system, safety mechanisms such as pressure relief valves and emergency stop features, proper installation and maintenance procedures, and adherence to safety standards and regulations. Additionally, the pump should be compatible with the hoist's design and capable of providing the necessary force and speed for lifting operations. Regular inspections and maintenance are crucial to ensure the hoist operates safely and efficiently.

Q: What are the requirements for the construction elevator
The anti-drop safety device is an important part of the construction elevator, which can be relied on to eliminate the occurrence of the fall accident and guarantee the safety of the crew. So for safety device factory test is very strict, before delivery by the statutory inspection unit for torque measurement, critical speed measurement, measuring the amount of spring compression, each with the test report, after assembly to the construction lifter for drop test under rated load, and the site to use the elevator must be every three months to conduct a drop test. For safety device to the factory for two years for safety device (delivery date), must also be sent to the statutory inspection unit to carry on the test, after testing once a year. So far few inspection, some sites even once every three months to detect don't do drop test, all think that their is no problem for safety device, but once had an accident, repent at leisure. Why not do regular tests and tests? The use of units blindly thinks that not bad is good. Actually good or bad for safety device can only judge by test and inspection in the daily operation is not sure whether it is good or bad, for those who are serving for safety device, or advice for the earlier inspection and regular test, only accomplish know fairly well, to malignant accident prevention rather than cure.
Q: Is it permissible to utilize personal lifting gear for the purpose of lifting objects?

Yes, you can use your own lifting equipment to lift objects, provided it meets safety standards and is suitable for the weight and type of objects being lifted. Always ensure that the equipment is in good working condition, and you are trained in its proper use to prevent accidents.
