Q: Recently I was sent a link to Yahoo answers from a client who was shocked to read the misinformation albeit well meaning answers to many questions about carpet dyeing. Carpet dyeing is a very specialized field and few have mastered the technology. I want to ask after the nay-sayers have read the correct information, if they have finally achieved the correct education to venture any kind of answer about carpet dyeing. Whether stain, spot, wrong color, outdated color, or simply color changes all can be done with perfection by a carpet dyeing expert. This is NOT a do-it-yourself type project for property owners. We have corrected many unsuccessful attempts by carpet owners and carpet cleaners who try to dye on their own. Please tell me you experience and I'll give you the correct answers. We have dyed millions of yards of carpets during the last 20 years in more than 200 locations in USA and 8 other countries. I just want people to know it is a viable option to carpet replacement.: That is exactly the problem, people want to dye carpets themselves and there are a lot of fly by night carpet cleaning companies out there attempting to dye carpet with poor results. I think there should be some certification or signal your industry uses to inform consumers that the company they hire to dye their carpets is as experienced and technologically astute as yours. I've been in rental real estate and interior design for a long time and have seen some really bad carpet dye jobs. Perhaps if there are franchises specializing in carpet dyeing they should advertise their expertise more extensively because if the process is that perfected there is a lot of business out there!

Q: I have just gotten a large area rug and Ihave put it on a bare floor. Do I need to put something under the rug. It is not slipping or anythhing.: nope-its good

Q: what do they mean when it says you have to quot;stretchquot; a carpet you are laying?: wall-to-wall carpet has to be stretched to fit tight and flat. At the perimeter of each room are wood strps that have sharp metal prongs that grab and hold the carpet as it is stretched tightly to each wall.

Q: Does anyone know if disposable kitchen rugs are made and sold anywhere? I would like to have a bunch of fairly good quality rugs in the closet and change then out whenever needed. Just pick u[p the dirty one and throw it away. Any ideas?: I have never seen a rug of any kind that is intended to be disposable. You can, of course, throw any rug away, if you don't mind the expense of buying new rugs all the time.

Q: I just painted my room dark pink and i need a rug. What color will go well with dark pink?It's kind of like pinkish purpleish.: I would use a cream colored flokati rug for this room I would also find a way to introduce more of the sage in the room, but in a lighter sage than the couch. Don't you have a deck rail to hang it over for an afternoon. If not, drape it over a couple of chairs and just open the windows and let the air blow on it.

It's not my responsibility to pay it's his responsibility to pay for the carpet and installation right.: It's your landlords responsibility. If he is replacing the carpeting the benefit is his. It improves his property thus it's his responsibility. If you are the reason the carpet needs to be replaced ie pet urine, burn, bleach, kid made a mess, then he still has to pay for the carpet and instillation but he takes it out on your deposit.

What do I do?: Just try cleaning the rug again in the washer and then vacuum it when it's dried. Clean up the floor around and beneath the rug. Clean up your cat in the tub with soap. If this doesn't help take your cat to the vet and ask if something is wrong. Also, if you're cats' not neutered, get that done!

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and want to get carpet in my home but not sure if it's best to get berber or shag or plush..... sigh, so many carpet choices! Your pets could leave stains and some messes for you to get out of the carpet. Stay with the hard wood flooring.
