Q: Please recommend a good & cheap vacuum for carpets and rugs.?
Go to a vacuum repair shop. They also sell 2nd hand vacuum cleaners.
Q: What's the difference between regular vacuum cleaners and water vacuum cleaners?
Question: What's the Difference Between a Vacuum and Carpet Steamer or Cleaner (If that's what you mean by water vacuums) Although some carpet steamers and cleaners do have a suction mechanism to remove the cleaning fluid and water from your carpet after cleaning the area, they should only be used for steaming or cleaning a carpet and never used as a vacuum cleaner. Answer: The term 'carpet cleaner' or shampooer used to relate to types of carpet cleaning appliances which did not have a water tank and cleaned using a cleaner in conjunction with brush action. The cleaning fluid actually stayed in the carpet to protect the fibers and was not removed, nor was any water applied. Today, the term generally means any appliance that is used to clean a carpet and carpet cleaners have changed considerably in the last few years. Today, most carpet cleaners are in fact steamers. Along with a liquid cleaning solution, hot water or steam is applied to the carpet. Brushes rotate to help lift the rug fibers and the water and solution is then extracted into a waste water reservoir that must be emptied. This allows carpets to be deep-cleaned and the water is then vacuumed by the same machine, allowing it to dry rather quickly.
Q: What vacuum cleaners would you recommend besides hoover. The price is not important ?
I'm a Vac Tech. Listen to the Simplicity person. That's a good vac. One of the best on the market. The Riccar is a sister company, both of which are manufactured in St. James Missouri. American made. The Riccar has a 5 year warranty and service plan though. The 8955 model is the best buy. Probably the best buy on any vacuum. The other Top brands are gonna be Miele and Sebo. Both German Manufactured. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Piece of advice, stay away from the hype. Most of those are toys and don't hold up. You can dump a lot of money into something at a department store that isn't worth much. You can't go yell at the 17 year old kid that recommended the Dyson to you at Walmart, but if you buy off of an independent dealer you can. Those dealers realize this and want to keep you happy, so they usually want sell you junk. Besides all those manufactures I listed will bend over backwards to make sure you get taken care of, if the dealer doesn't.
Q: Washing MachinesVacuum CleanersElectric bedside lampsToastersKettlesBlendersDigital alarm clocksRefrigerators
This isn't a History question. It's a homework question. All you have to do is look up each on Wikipedia and check the dates ... its just time consuming. I'll help you out with the first one because it's a little convoluted. Washing Machines invented in 1691. Available in Europe by the 1750's. Available in the US by 1843. NON-ELECTRIC washing machines were fairly common 1870's to 1900 Electric washing machines were available 1904. US electric washing machine became common in households by 1928.
Q: Zargon Ziff sells vacuum cleaners. He gets to keep one eighth of his sales as a commission. How much must he sell in order to earn 500$ THANK YOU!!
(1/8)x=$500 x=500/(1/8)=500*8/1=4000 He must sell $4000 in order to earn $500.
Q: I just started working at Kirby as a salesmen and yeah I know every thinks it a scam and it probably is but I just want to know who I can sell it to. Does cleaning companies buy it? Or hotels or motels? Any answers are appreciated thanks
Post an ad on craigslist, and once you get your first lead ask for referrals. I don't see why it's a scam, people sell vacuum cleaners.
Q: We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
Q: when you turn it on the brush should spin when you vacuum but it doesnt and when i pick the vacuum up it starts spinning..?
If your vacuum's belt is, in effect, a big black rubber band, then D S is absolutely correct, it is the belt. These things seem to be too short when they are being installed, but are made that way purposely so that there's enough friction against the motor pulley and the agitator to turn the brushes after they are in contact with the carpet. Over a period of time, usually, dependent on how much and how often you use the cleaner, the belt stretches out and loses it's tension on the motor pulley. The pulley is much smaller than the agitator and is usually very shiny and smooth, as opposed to the large wooden or plastic agitator. Actually, the belt is the only part on most cleaners that isn't covered by their warranty, because they are considered expendable. Get a couple new belts, install yourself if you're capable, and keep the second on hand for when the new one strectches out.
Q: what are the best brands of upright vacuum cleaners?
A kirby? I've never even heard of that. Well, if you want a great vacuum cleaner, you gotta go with a Dyson, the only catch being those things are OUTREGEOUS! I think the cheapest one is about $500. Other than that, I've got a Bissell right now that works fantastically. And it was only about $60 at Wal-Mart. It's one of those bagless vacuums, with the filters. You don't have to replace any of the filters either, they're all washable in the sink. So, pretty cheap and convenient.
Q: which are the best vacuum cleaners?
Dyson Best at suction and ease of getting around the house with the new dyson ball system
