- Q: I have two toddlers, and needless to say my carpets get a little dirty very easily. Can anyone recommend a good carpet cleaning machine that actually gets the job done. I had one about 2 years ago ( can't remember the brand ), and it sucked. It didn't work, and it left my carpets soaking wet. Anyways, I will probably use it every 2 weeks or so, and if I am going to spend money on something I want it to be worth it ya know. Thanks n advance 4 the help!

- The zebra rug would only look good if it matched exactly to your bed set. But since your gonna have a lot of purple in your room (from your stuff) i suggest a black rug, i know it sounds kind of plain and simple but i dont see how any other color would go besides purple. But it sounds cute!(:
- Q: So i practily live in my basement. Its a hard wood floor but my moms stupid dog as come down and peed on it countless times. - If you want to solve your problem for good You should hire rug cleaner to solve your problem. This can be very challenging and time consuming process. You can pay $2 or $3 a sf. You have to wash with shampoo and water and must dry properly otherwise you will have mold problem.
- Q: My carpet is very stained and is supposed to be tan but because i have three kids and a dog who spill everything they can on it, its now multi colored and i have tried almost every carpet cleaner there is to try and get it clean. Ive used every resolve product, oxyclean, baking soda, and a lot of white vinegar and nothing works! Ive searched in resolved questions about this and got a lot of mixed answers. Some said they did it and it worked great then others said it can make them even worse by making the glue in the carpet fibers come apart. We live in post housing and i already know we are going to have to have the carpet replaced when we leave but that's not for another year or two. Im so embarrassed by it that i don't even like to have our friends over. I would like to know if anybody has bleached their carpets to make them white and if they have did the fibers in the carpets unravel weeks or months later??? Or did everything go okay and the carpets look better???
- never never bleach your carpet! Hie a professonal carpet cleaner. or steamer. Try Stanely carpet steamer if you want, i think it is a good company. they are in Chicagoarea.

- Jenny is right about using a thin matt under the rug after you get the corners flat and the 1 st poster said to iron it.. If you try and iron any thing with nylon fibers you ll melt them and ruin the rug. So to answer you question, 1 st turn the rug over and place on a warm spot such as a heat register. You may need to do 1 corner at a time.Heat will relax the backing and help flatten it. Small weight on the corner ( such as a book or some magazines) help help too. You may want to even back roll it and warm it. This will flatten the corners out while its getting warm. Then use the matts recommended for you rug. There are matts for rugs over hard wood, over a hard surface and rugs over carpet. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar..GL

- Take the rug to a Dry Clean that specializes in fur coats...or at least one that has experience in cleaning fur coats. They should be able to clean the rug.

- i saw somewhere that you get to walk the carpet,didnt you check before entering whatever competition it was? you dont have to have a pass to be on the sides of a red carpet so you could be in luck walk down the carpet and if your old enough have a few drinks b4 you do lol.i wish i could tell u 100% but my gut tells me that u can walk it,ive seen ppl walking on the carpet who have nothing to do with the event in the past

- Rent yourself a regular carpet cleaner from a hardware store or a rental company. Make sure the carpet cleaner comes with a furniture attachment. I recommend using Oxi-Clean and a boiling water solution in the carpet cleaner and pretreat the really dirty areas with something equal to a 409 spray cleaner/degreaser first. The problem with all those other cleaners is that there still in the dirty carpet with the dirt. The best way to clean carpet is to wash it, rinse it, then let it dry, just like you do with anything else including but not limited to yourself, your clothes, and your dishes.prespray it with a degreaser, then steam clean it with the Oxi-Clean solution, because the dirt and the cleaner is extracted when your done. It may take two times now that there is so much crud and cleaner in the carpet. Also the hotter the water the better the cleaner will work, so I would recommend boiling the water before making your solution. GOOD LUCK!! IT SHOULD TURN OUT GREAT!! This is how the detailer at our car dealership does every car.
