QTZ50(PT5010) FAQ

Q: How many meters of the steel wire rope?

A: For normal model, the length of the rope is 100 meters. But we could produce the length according to the customer’s request.

Q: What is the difference between working wire rope and safety wire rope?

A: There are two kinds of rope using for suspended platform, working wire rope is for working up and down, the other is safety wire rope, just for safe, if the working wire rope broke and fell down, the safety wire rope will locked  immediately.

Q: Can you equip with light on tower crane jib, monitor, remote control and anemometer?

A: Sure. All of these could be provided with extra cost upon the clients’ requirements. But according to general practice, remote control is not suggested because most of the operator feedback operation in the cabin will provide a wide working view.

Q: If I have one week, is that enough time?
It all depends on how fast you can make one paper crane and how many hours you have available each day. If you made 15 an hour for 10 hours each day (150 cranes a day) for 7 days you would have 1050 cranes. You will probably find that you begin to go faster, the more cranes you make. However, after 2 or 3 days you will get sore hands and this will slow you down again. It's easier when you work as a team.
Q: Is their a difference between a flamingos and cranes birds?
Yes quite some difference,Flamingos are crustacean feeders brine shrimp and similar, feeding by sifting water through their bills by a pumping action and feed in water.Their habitat is Tropical climbs Cranes on the other hand are mainly land or swamp birds feeding on Frogs Lizards even snakes and other insects., they live in various regions even in cold areas. This is only a brief description so I hope it has helped
Q: I work a few blocks away and my window faces the building, now shrouded in black netting and scaffolding. I cannot comprehend how that crane got up there!!
Probably a climbing crane. You build a scaffold with your crane, then climb the scaffold with the crane, anchor, then take the scaffold apart re-assemble it above your current position. Repeat until top of building is reached.
Q: quick answer or i'll delete it!
spongebob gives me a headache.
Q: Old used 200 t crawler crane is available for purchase. What are the guidelines/ thumb rules for assessing its cost ?
Supply vs demand Extreme examples: If the crane is no longer needed anywhere, the cost will be 0; no demand. If the crane still has a unique useable function and there is only one available, it's immediate cost will be very high; no supply. So, assuming that the cranes supply/demand is somewhere in the middle, the methodology for assessing it's cost would be to evaluate the following: * Where is it located with respect to where it is needed? (place value) * How quickly do I need it, and how quickly can I get the crane? (time value) * What alternative solutions are available? * How much do other similar cranes cost? * etc Hope this helps!
Q: How do they get big cranes up on skyscrapers for renovation? and how do they bring it down? And where they keep the cranes after done?
Renovation of skyscrapers typically uses a crane, if it has one, that is built up the side of the building, resting on the ground but fastened to the frame periodically for bracing. Tower cranes are built in sections and assembled in place with smaller cranes. To a large extent, renovation of skyscrapers is done from the inside - modifying some of the existing elevators, rather than doing anything from the outside, breaking through the walls to get stuff inside.
Q: How to select tower crane type according to the height of building? Seek explanation
This depends on the height of your building, the area, the choice of tower cranes, the model is different, his work coverage is not the same. Now for tower crane, height is not a problem, mainly depends on the size of your building, not in the crane's scope of operation.
Q: I have this assignment to find out how a climbing crane is able to move up the building as construction continues.
They add extra stages from the bottom. A tower crane is erected from a boom assembly, first and second tower sections of different cross section, and a base in a sequence of steps in which the boom assembly is mounted on a hollow climbing section dimensioned to be received in each of the larger second tower sections and defining a cavity dimensioned to receive each of the first tower sections. One of the latter is secured on a base in upright position, and the upright section is received in the cavity of the climbing section which is then raised relative to the first section and enveloped by one of the second sections. The enveloping section is secured to the base and the raised climbing section for supporting the climbing section whereupon the first tower section may be released from the base, raised, and secured to the second tower section. The climbing section may then be raised relative to the first tower section to permit the installation of another second section, and the procedure repeated, until all second or larger tower sections are superimposed on each other, the one first section being ultimately attached to the topmost second section. When the climbing section is raised relative to the attached first section, another first section may be superimposed on the one first section and the procedure repeated until the slimmer portion of the tower is assembled from superimposed first sections. Ultimately, the boom assembly is attached to the topmost first tower section, and the climbing section may be removed or stored for further use on the wider, lower tower portion.
Q: we have a project starting that will require a stack built 1km high in the air?How will they install this?
Build form the top, when they build these huge cranes, they build the top section, lift that up and build the next section underneath it, set it down to release the lift off the top section and lower it to the second section. Lift those 2 sections from the bottom, build the third section underneath it, and so on. You need to lift securely, like on all 4 sides for stability, and that leaves the corners free to build the next section.
