- Q:I work in downtown Atlanta, and they are doing some kind of work on top of one of the high rise buildings downtown with a big crane. I was wondering how they got that heavy of a crane there to begin with? Thanks ahead of time!
- If they have more than 13 floors, in fact there is a 13th floor. People are just too superstitious for some buildings, like hotels to state them. It will skip from 12-14.
- Q:How do they get big cranes up on skyscrapers for renovation? and how do they bring it down? And where they keep the cranes after done?
- with other cranes and lift systems. When done, they move on to the next project.
- Q:Is Fireplace Crane a modern term for the swing-out metal arms that hang over a fireplace for cooking? e.g. like in dutch ovens or pots/cauldrons that hang over a fire.It sounds like a more modern term and I need to know if there is an older term. Thanks.
- I can't think of older terms at the moment, but definitely 'fireplace crane' sounds modern, and possibly American, to me. In Britain I have never heard the term, not in any historical or modern setting. My idea of a crane is a big item at a dockside or on a big building site. A domestic hearth or kitchen is too nice a place to have a 'crane'!
- Q:a/ Calculate the lift workb/ What is the power used by the crane when the efficiency is 60%? (Can you explain for me what efficiency means)c/ What will the kinetic energy of the load be when it hits the ground, if it falls from the height 8.5 meters, g=9.81 m/s^2Thank you.

- Q:I have to read this book for an AP class next year. I did read the book and i don't understand how i can discuss the setting and its possible relationship to the theme. I looked stuff up on the internet and I've asked other people who have read the book and they're just as confused as I am. I need help!
- I can't tell you what to write or what you see as the theme but one of the themes in the book is man versus nature. Maybe you could discuss the setting as part of nature and what Crane seems to be saying about it. One thing that might help is a poem Crane wrote which explains how he sees things. Maybe you already know it. It's titled A man said to the universe A man said to the universe, Sir, I exist! However, replied the universe the fact has not created in me a sense of obligation. An indifferent universe. Not unlike how Thomas Hardy saw things.
- Q:the highest ranking American serviceman, at least in the so called prison camp
- Bob Crane did not commit suicide. His head was caved in with a video camera tripod while he was in bed, presumably, asleep. This happened at a time when he was doing dinner theater in Arizona. It is believed that a male friend of his who liked hanging around with Crane did the deed as Crane was seeking to end their friendship. Crane was a chick magnet and very interested in video taping his encounters with women. This friend of Crane's used to pick up the leftovers that Crane didn't sleep with and thus the reason for his being angry when Crane wanted to end the friendship.
- Q:Why are electromagnets on junkyard cranes generally circular in shape?
- Blow a bubble with gum and you will realize the most efficient shape in nature. Sphere or circle. Whether it is a crane or the wheel, a helpful shape to be sure. The engineer to be has it right.
- Q:Is their a difference between a flamingos and cranes birds?
- Yes quite some difference,Flamingos are crustacean feeders brine shrimp and similar, feeding by sifting water through their bills by a pumping action and feed in water.Their habitat is Tropical climbs Cranes on the other hand are mainly land or swamp birds feeding on Frogs Lizards even snakes and other insects., they live in various regions even in cold areas. This is only a brief description so I hope it has helped
