- 1 horse power = 746 watt. So the work W done by the crane in 15 s is given by W = 8*746*15 J . So the distance, S through which the crane lifted 100 kg, presumably at constant speed is given by 100*9.81*S = 8*746*15 or S = [(8*746*15)/(100*9.81)] = 91.25 m

- You have to be able to do simple trig to figure what your crane is capable of. You will have to become a member of the crane workers union. Someone may have to die to make a space for you. You may have to take jobs that are just fork lift qualified, if you are lucky, you might find work at seaports unloading cargo ships.You may have to work your way up through the ranks as a wrecking ball operator. The very lucky will make 50-60K +. The really good ones will make more only after many years.
- Q: Hey,My grandma has a big country estate with a river and its her birthday coming up. She's indicated she might like another peacock (we've had them before), but I'm thinking of branching out into other birds. - Depends on where you live ? Stick to Ornamental Pheasants or Ducks,Storks and Cranes,need to be penned in at night because you will have to pinion them to prevent them flying. Try some Golden Pheasants for a try ,Lady Amherst are becoming a rare commodity and are quite expensive,if you have Foxes and Mink,then no matter what you get you will have problems these two predators.

- Gravity, that's basically why all things collapse. With cranes you also tend to have the issue of them being overloaded also but at the end of the day it's still gravity that's the enemy. There is some talk of a supporting strut having been damaged by a piece of falling metal and the crane toppling as a result of that but it's the first time I've ever come across a piece of lifting equipment, and that's what a crane is, reliant on just one component to keep it standing up. Always remember that gravity thing is out to get you.

- Q: Protected cranes are nesting in pine trees with possible disease carrying bird droppings covering drive way and street where neighborhood children play. I've called several local organizations only to be told there is nothing I can do since they are protected by law. These birds return every year and stay for about 4 months - each year gets worse with droppings and stench. Daily cleaning is required but that still does not keep the areas around them clean.

- i am not a crane driver myself , but into this field of construction . get a licence as driver from authority just as a car driver. know how to drive the crane ad a driver know how to operate a crane as a operator. know the performance of the crane and its limits. the salary can vary depending on the type of crane and its special features. but not in the high end grade for sure unless its a very specialised crane operation. u can ask any thing more .
