- Q:what are the number meanings for paper cranes?
- Hey Mary, Don't let the web site name fool you, it does discuss the deeper meaning behind paper cranes. Steeped in ancient myths and carrying resonant cultural meanings, the crane occupies a central role in the Asian imagination. Anyone who has witnessed cranes flying through the early morning mist over shimmering green rice paddies will readily understand how the mysterious beauty of the crane has captivated Asian life and art for centuries. Like the dragon, tiger, and phoenix, the crane ranks among the favorite motifs for Asian artwork because of its rich meaning and history. Read more at the web sites.
- Q:Well I folded 100 or so cranes from cheap origami paper (red, yellow, green and blue) before I decided that I could fold 1000 cranes a reality. My dilemma is, do I keep the 100 cranes I did and fold 900 of them to fulfill my wish? Or if I discard the 100 cranes and fold 1000, will my wish be granted on the 900th crane? The reason I want to discard the 100 cranes is because it's for my wedding and the color placement of the old cranes isn't fitting at all.Yes I'm aware it's not scientific or realistic, but it's more of faith, I'm not dumb.
- Consider what you would like your 100 cranes to mean. Attach strings to your 100 cranes and then hang them in a tree etc so that the wind may carry your prayers where they need to go. Then start again to create the 1000 paper cranes you want for your wedding. PS: The making of the paper cranes involves an act of faith, not the right colour to match your wedding plans. In Japan, the crane represents peace and healing. When we consider the famous Japanese art-form of paper folding (origami) the crane comes to mind before all else. Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes (1977), a non-fiction children’s book written by American author Eleanor Coerr, tells the story of young Sadako Sasaki who lived in Hiroshima at the time of the atomic bombing. Sadako developed leukaemia as a consequence, and lived out the remainder of her short life in a nursing home desperately trying to create one thousand paper cranes. Supposedly, if someone could make a thousand paper cranes his/her wish would come true. Sadako wanted to live. Sadly, she only managed to fold 644 cranes. After her death, friends and family folded the remainder, and buried her with the one thousand paper birds. Today, a statue of Sadako holding an enormous golden origami crane stands in the Hiroshima Peace Park. People regularly leave paper cranes. The plaque on the statue reads “This is our cry. This is our prayer. Peace on Earth.”
- Q:Ty Crane is the star basketball player for st.francis, what is he doing now? Where is he? Why is he not in the NBA?
- Ty Crane is actually at Venice Beach in Los Angeles I just saw him, he was selling his mix tapes, we talked then he said he was Ty Crane the actor from Coach Carter. He smiled eveytime he said he was a movie star. Go to Venice beach by the weights and courts and you will see him there!!
- Q:Okay, well obviously, in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,he was ugly, but wat exactly made him ugly?? it tells you, but its way too complicated for me. Could anybody just make it... simpler?
- Here is a simpler way to describe how he looked. tall but exceedingly lank Narrow shoulders long arms and legs hands that dangled a mile out of his sleeves feet that might have served as shovels whole frame loosely hung together head small, flat at top huge ears large green glassy eyes long snipe nose spindle neck (later compared to a grasshopper because of his posture on horseback trying to get away from the headless horseman.) He wasn't exactly ugly. He was full of himself. He thought he was the smartest person in town. He took advantage of people. (all but Katrina, who took advantage of him.) He also believes in all the myths, legends, and tall tales to be taken literally. He is frightened by anything that reminds him of ghosts or demons. That is why he is so frightened by the headless horseman. Hope I helped. I am also reading the legend of sleepy hollow at the moment for school. I have to do an essay on what he looks like and acts like. So I looked it up and found this. Hope it helps you.

- Q:in the Open Boat by Stephen Crane, in part IV why are the characters not identified?
- The characters are defined by their roles on the boat. Their previous experiences or personalities don't matter here. It is just the narrow repetitive experience of rowing and how they each contribute to it. Each character is Everyman, being thrown around by the merciless, indifferent hand of Fate. I think that Crane was squarely in the company of Naturalists (they think there's no such thing as individual agency, like Darwinism in fiction). The interesting thing to think about here is that one character has a name - Billie, the oiler. Why is this? He's the strongest, he's the most experienced and he's the one that dies. He's an individual to the reader but Fate doesn't care. I'm sure you can flesh the ideas out now.
- Q:I have this assignment to find out how a climbing crane is able to move up the building as construction continues.
- They add extra stages from the bottom. A tower crane is erected from a boom assembly, first and second tower sections of different cross section, and a base in a sequence of steps in which the boom assembly is mounted on a hollow climbing section dimensioned to be received in each of the larger second tower sections and defining a cavity dimensioned to receive each of the first tower sections. One of the latter is secured on a base in upright position, and the upright section is received in the cavity of the climbing section which is then raised relative to the first section and enveloped by one of the second sections. The enveloping section is secured to the base and the raised climbing section for supporting the climbing section whereupon the first tower section may be released from the base, raised, and secured to the second tower section. The climbing section may then be raised relative to the first tower section to permit the installation of another second section, and the procedure repeated, until all second or larger tower sections are superimposed on each other, the one first section being ultimately attached to the topmost second section. When the climbing section is raised relative to the attached first section, another first section may be superimposed on the one first section and the procedure repeated until the slimmer portion of the tower is assembled from superimposed first sections. Ultimately, the boom assembly is attached to the topmost first tower section, and the climbing section may be removed or stored for further use on the wider, lower tower portion.
