Q: I would like to get some advice from Martial artists of the training that Crane style Kung Fu go trough especially the balance. I would like to learn how they learn to balance without difficulty and the training they go trough.
Balance is balance - there's no specific training but good balance will help you with all aspects of your training. A few things that helped me - tying shoelaces by getting into a crane posture rather than kneeling to the laces. The concentration on the shoe helps to balance you. Practice Crane Stance and try to keep a clear mind while in the stance - if you start worrying then you'll fall. Remember to keep the knee high and the foot pointed.
Q: i need the names of the organisms. like names of insects or fish or what ever they eat. give the organism's name. don't just say fish or insects. i need specific names.this is for a biology project.
Diet okorder /.. I'm sorry, I couldn't find any specific names, but here are some general ones. Sorry again.
Q: I need to do a report on how cranes topple, moment (physics) and there correlation (relasionship).I am an idiot and have forgotten what moment is. so please explian that, how cranes topple and why they dont topple, and the correltion between the two!thank you
First of all, let's think of a crane like a giant see-saw, where the plank itself doesn't have any weight. Now cranes have big weights on one side of the pivot, which they can move along (I think, I may be wrong). These cause what is called a 'turning moment'. The further out from the 'pivot' they are, the greater the moment. The other consideration with a crane is it's load. Generally, this is carried a lot further out from the pivot point, on the opposite side from the weights. Now consider this. If you have a small child sitting on the end of a see-saw, you will be able to balance them with a larger person sat closer to the pivot. This is the principle on which cranes work. The moment is the force times the distance from the pivot, and it must be balanced turning each way for the see-saw/crane not to topple. This is somewhat of a simplification, but hope it helps.
Q: I am writing a short paper on the significance of the white doves and the crane in the book Sadako and I'm really not sure what to say.
Anyone who folded a thousand paper cranes would be granted a wish. Sadako wished to healthy again so that she could run and play like before, and she pursued her goal with such determination that, although she died of her disease, she succeeded in transforming the paper crane into a symbol of peace for children all over the world.
Q: how does a crane operator's knowledge of where the centroid is generally located for most uniform objects help them perform their job more safely?
Usually it is the rigger who attaches the lifting gear not the crane operator who needs to know about centriods and even then the real trick is getting the slings or other lifting devices in the exact place. That tends to be a bit of trial and error unless the lifting points are clearly marked.
Q: when a tall building is under construction you alwase see cranes on top. well i would like to know 1. how they move them up as the buildung gets taller and 2nd after there done how do they get them down?
They disassemble them
Q: I was wondering if anyone knows what period this book is set in? I know that it's set in the slums of New York and the story was published in 1893. But what time period does the story actually take place?
hah ha i'm in your class too :) This project sucks... and I still haven't done it! I have to tonight..
Q: I know that you have to unfold the origami paper crane, but how do you find the surface area of it???????????????????????????/ please help...........
This is a possible way 1 Fold a crane from a white sheet 2 paint the crane black whit a pen 3 unfold 4 you will have now a white sheet with a series of black triangles 5 measure and find the surface area of each triangle 6 sum the areas and you will have the total surface area of the crane
Q: From what I'm understanding in the first stanza, a women lost her lover to the war because he fell off his horse...Is that right?
Yes, Stephen Crane talks about lost love and sacrifices in his poem. The basic casualty of war. A lover, a father and son are lost in his story and those that are left behind he tries to console. The poem is noted for the ironic use of war is kind. We all know that War is really not kind. The poem’s speaker, simultaneously sympathetic with the victims of war and cynical about the purposes of war, implicitly criticizes the image of the romantic hero, showing in graphic scenes the realities of battlefield death and the emotional torment it causes for those left behind.
Q: A. Load capacityB. Fluid leaksC. Clearance for swing radiusD. Wire rope wear and sheavesE. All of the above must be inspected before operating a crane
Load capacity is not required to inspect provided that the crane was inspected by third party and certified to the loads
