Q:A Korean kid at my school made me one in a new kid meeting. Sadly, he made it with my hall pass that needs to be signed with the teacher that organized it. But when she had to sign it she ripped it up and he won't make me another one! How can i make one myself?: I was going to do that once when I was about eleven... I got to like 156 and then stopped. Too many, and I had other things to do. I'd like to do it again though, maybe see if it's real or not this time... even if it's not, it would be pretty awesome to have that many cranes. I'm not sure if it will really make your wish come true... you have to make your own wish come true, folding paper can't really do that. But maybe it can help some. It's worth giving it a try.

Q:OMG! a phoba of crane flys, and there are 5 on my celling right now!!! What do I do, will the move and fly around eventually? I feel your pain - I hate crane flies, too. They are the only animals I don't like. I know they are harmless but they're just so damn creepy, with all those horrible long legs just waiting to dangle on your face! *shudder* My normal way of dealing with them is to smack them with a magazine or newspaper, but if they're on the ceiling I'd go with the person who said suck them up with the Hoover. If you can stand to have them in the house much longer, you could just wait for them to die - they only live 24 hours (in their adult form, that is - they will already have spent some time as larvae). In response to mj1112's answer, crane flies do not eat mosquitoes! As adults they usually do not feed at all, since they live only 24 hours - if they do, it will just be a sip of nectar.

Q:How do Crane Motors Work?: I'm not 100% familiar with this but this should be pretty close to the answer. Simple/standard crane motors work by applying power first through a rotating steel shaft into a gearbox. The gearbox allows the gearing ratio to be changed (to trade rotation speed for torque or torque for rotation speed). Another steel shaft carries the power out of the gearbox, again through rotation, to a spindle (think big thimble) around which steel cable is wrapped.
