FAQ of Tower Crane

Q: What kinds of tower crane are available now?

A: Four main categories: normal tower crane with cat head, internal climbing tower crane, top less tower crane and luffing tower crane.

Q: What kind of steel used for tower crane?

A: Normally, as for the main force bearing steel structure, Q345B is adopted; as for the assistance force bearing steel structure Q235B is adopted. All of the raw material is outsourced from qualified steel factory in China.

Q: Your tower crane is similar to Potain or Liebherr type?

A: We could develop any type of tower crane as per clients’ requirements if the clear information is provided. Originally, our tower crane design is based on Liebherr; but now, we not only introduced Potain design; but also developed special tower crane according to the market needs such as TC5013A with panel mast section. In addition, we also produce some models same as Potain original model, such as F0/23B, H3/36B and etc.

Q: how do they get cranes on top of building sites?
It's crazy but they actually use the crane to build itself!!!
Q: feminists always point to sexism. but Ive found 3 women here - who say they have experienced no sexism, and were pleasantly surprised by how excepting their largely male co-workers have been -
Because it's not interesting to females, they mostly like retail, daycare, hairdressing ect but with high brow jobs they do well in numbers in law and medicine. I hate hearing feminist claim sexism in work like science. I'm in science and yes it is incredibly male dominated to point that sometimes I have been the only female but there was never any sexism at all and the times I was the only female I was treated way better then everyone else. If we look at little further at sex related interests who plays with toy cranes, trucks and lab sets and who plays with barbie and baby dolls? is it really just coincidental? I see females buying the latest fashion or celebrity mag and well guys science, sports and cars. It's obviously not sexism feminists well feminists are just feminists what else would you expect from them.
Q: How do you jump a crane? I know you jack it up but how is that done?
I have no idea what you mean by jump a crane? What type of crane? Truck mounted, overhead, pedestal?
Q: I was wondering if Steam Cranes are still used to clear train derailments or are the all mothballed now? What do they use to clear derailments now days if the not the Steam Cranes? Also way are there 2 types of hooks on the crane anyway? Thanks
They started to go by the wayside in the early 80's around here, though they were still in use until technology caught up and they could manufacture a 200 ton capacity crane for use on the highways. They had Hi-rail equipment and could get to the scene of a derailment much quicker than the old steam derricks. Near the end, I know there were at least 5 still operating, but the problem was, there were only two guys on the system that could run one of the things. Steam is the key word. We're all used to seeing crane operators running the machine from their little cab and moving the levers that control the hydraulics. But, it was amazing to see a guy run one of the Bucyrus Erie 200 ton derricks. All the functions were controlled by various valves that were scattered around the operators position, and it was like watching some kind of choreography; ballet, even. The sights, smells and sounds of the thing in action were no less eye catching than watching the operator himself.
Q: Flocks of cranes shout'. Is it right to use the word'shout' here?
Assuming this is creative writing and not a zoological text book, it's fine to use 'shout'.
Q: I need help making a origami crane that can flap his wings.
These okorder It takes quite a few tries to get it right, but once you do it is easy.
Q: What are the main technical parameters of a tower crane?
Generally speaking, the main parameters of the tower crane are:Maximum amplitude unit MMaximum lifting height, unit MMaximum lifting torque unit KN.mMaximum lifting speed unit m/minMaximum lifting unit tRotational speed unit r/minVariable speed unit m/min or o/minWalking speed per unit m/minMotor power unit w......Please refer to the product manual.
Q: I am looking for guidance on determining the optimal design parameters for the design of an overhead travelling crane when considering a span of 60m and a lift requirement of 2500Tonnes. If not possible what would be the maximum lift for the same span
Is this for a nuclear power station? If 2500 Te and 60m really are the specified loads and span then it is likely that it will be used very seldom. In theory you can design for any load to be lifted but maintenance on a crane system that is used once a year (10 years?) is a real problem. The main items to consider are: Availability of winches and bogies which then dictates running beam and rail sizes. For the spanning beam several alternative sizes needed to be designed and then costed. It will be not just weight but transport costs that determine the most efficient sizes The overall height of the crane will then determine the required roof height assuming that the crane is under cover. For comparison the Harland and Wolf cranes in Belfast called Samson and Goliath can lift 840 Tonnes each. Overall design needs to consider speed of travel, acceleration and deceleration rates and a host of other things.
Q: What were Henry's reasons for becoming a soldier? What about the war was so attractive to him?Why do you think it took Henry so long to begin contemplating his part in battle? How do Jim and Wilson respond to Henry's question? What does this tell you about them?Share your thoughts...
Henry begins the book as an idealistic and completely self-absorbed teenager who wants nothing more than a chance to show off and be thought of as a brave and daring male. From Shmoop
