- this is not my area of study but i will give you something to consider. if you are looking for a large capacity crane for use on permafrost, you wont find one. the pressure placed on the permafrost by large weights will cause it to melt. anything that is heavy, like a house, will sink in the tundra just like it will in a swamp. for houses they excavate the foundation a build a giant wooden raft that the hose floats on. in ST Petersburg, Russians preferred a mix of reeds and slave laborers corpses's to build the raft. as long as the ground is not frozen there is somebody how makes what you want. if the ground is frozen, you will only find small machinery. best of luck ps dont look to hard. lots of diesel engines work great at sub-subfreezing temps.

- Cranes eat fish so unless you know of a fish plant, I would put in a large pond with fish.
- Q:Two Cranes have been sitting on nest for about 50 days. Will these 2 eggs hatch. They will not leave. It is their 3 Clutch. The first one resulted in a baby colt, but it got hit by car. The second never hatched.
- What species of crane? Sandhill cranes have an incubation time of around 30 days, do you know the exact day of egg laying? Are you sure they haven't hatched and they are sitting on chicks? If you are getting close enough to the nest to see eggs or chicks, you might be too close and could be interfering with their natural behavior, unless they are captive or you are using a blind. You mentioned their chick being hit by a car, so if they are nesting that close to people, they may be nervous and are flushed from the nest too often to keep the eggs the right temperature. It's hard to say without more information. Edit: Extra cold weather can damage the eggs. It does seem like they've lost this clutch-50 days is long past when they should have hatched. They may be trying to incubate them anyway, I haven't worked directly with sandhills, but other birds that I've conducted nest monitoring studies on have sometimes sat on nests a while past when the eggs should have hatched. Hopefully this is actually their fourth clutch and you missed the removal of the third clutch. Good luck!

- You have to be able to do simple trig to figure what your crane is capable of. You will have to become a member of the crane workers union. Someone may have to die to make a space for you. You may have to take jobs that are just fork lift qualified, if you are lucky, you might find work at seaports unloading cargo ships.You may have to work your way up through the ranks as a wrecking ball operator. The very lucky will make 50-60K +. The really good ones will make more only after many years.
- Q:I have these sand cranes that always come up to our house and we feed them bread they never were aggressive but now one certain one is getting more aggressive. We have a screened porch and they come up to it and there putting holes in it to get our attention and there making like a noise thats not that normal when they see us. The one certain one is getting more aggressive towards the other birds poking on the them and chasing them. There is a group of four and they always stay together. the other three arent as aggressive as the one. Once they figure out you're not going to feed them they will go back to behaving normal. These are cool to look at, even though they can get loud sometimes. Have you ever seen tourist feed sea-gulls at the beach. Locals don't do it. Sea Gulls will get as aggresive as the Sand Cranes and actually dive bomb people. Imagine what a Sand Crane can do being what 10 times the size

- Q:Hello,I live in the St. Louis area of Missouri and during the summer, Crane Flies (I call them Mosquito Eaters) fly around all the time at night. I believe that it is normal for this type of bug to be nocturnal, but lately, I've seen them flying around, jumping around, and getting in the house DURING THE DAYTIME!! (AHH!!) :0 Is there any explanation for this? If so, is there anyway to reduce their population in and around my house? Thanks for reading.Ty
- Crane flies will probably be interested in the sunshine of the condo, so decreasing the light subsequent to the structure and what escapes from the home windows can help. They come from floor so it is rough to really do whatever to manipulate them.
- Q:i need to know:how long is the stock (extended and non-extended)how wide is the stockand how thick is the stockthanks.
- I believe it is pretty difficult to tell and searching the schematics of the crane stock will be as well. Best way is to check out your local gun range and the folks there that shoot guns with crane stocks installed. Also, though I am not too sure about this one, check if the crane stock is compatible for mil-spec buffer tubes and commercial spec buffer tubes. Otherwise, I am very much inaccurate in any of this response.
