- Q: Should the wall tile touch the floor? OR Should I leave enough space for the floor tile to go under the wall tile? ORShould they meet at each edge of the tiles?I dont' know the best way to do this? I'm tiling up the wall about 3.5 ft and laying a new tile floor.
- One of the things that can hurt you with the floor when setting tight from the wall is if your floor tile is not laid flat. If your tiles undulate more than say 1/8 of an inch you could have a pretty serious chaulk bead to cover up the gaps. A suggestion that I can give you on setting flat is to use a straight edge. A straight edge can be a good level with a hard 90 degree edge. Set the level across two tiles one that was set previously and the new set at a 45 degree angle and look at the hard edge against the tiles to see daylight. Any daylight raise or lower the newly set tile. If you just want to 'stick and forget' I suggest putting in at least an 1/8th inch grout joint between the floor and wall to make up for the differences. Also, get some white wedges from a local tile shop that sells materials and supplies. This will help in raising and lowering tiles to keep a level line on your wall tiles. Also, one more thing to remember is to use an anti-fracture membrane on the floor so if there are any cracks in the surface they will not crack the tiles from future movement of your concrete foundation. If you are setting over a wood subfloor you will have to use a tile substrate like cement backerboard. Check out your local where house store for information and classes on how to set basic tile installations. Good luck.
- Q: Is this a necessity? Will laminate flooring become damaged over time if an underlayment isn't used? The previous owner of this home installed a wood floor in the living room without an underlayment so if I want to use a flat transition between this floor and the floor I'm going to put in the next room I'll have to leave it out to keep the floors level. If I chose a cheap foam underlayment how thick will it be? Thanks.
- by laminate i assume you mean an interlocking pre- finished wood or wood composite flooring. underlayment ( vapor barrier) is nearly always used when applying the flooring over a concrete slab surface. not so much as when it is applied on an elevated floor ( raised foundation) The purpose of the underlayment (which is usually plastic or foam) is to keep moisture (from Below) from permeating the flooring causing warpage and damage over time. any good floor installer will use an underlayment regardless. if your problem is with underlayment thickness at the very least you should lay down heavy gauge plastic as your vapor barrier. the foam underlayment is also effective , but was primarily designed for a quieter walking surface. hope this helps

- hahahah.. these fools don't know about the game. i will explain, i've played it for yearssssss.. stoped playing and finaly beat it around 2005. got it like in 1999 or 2000 but it was so hard i quit gave up and came at it agian played on/off. well if you need help beating it let me know.. here SPOILERS here is what happens in the end. koh gets to the 40th floor, there is no battle needed, or you don't have to kill any 1. it will all play and you will have to read what the character says. beldo (the man who killed goh's father guy) is there w/ you and i can't quite remember exactly, but i think kewne (that blue familiar with you) hits beldo, you deal the final blow and the battle is over. kewne explains how he use to be guy's familiar and is sorry for not telling koh before. then you get the ultimate egg (you have to pick it up) in the center. after you can teleport i think but only that time. and if you go back up to the 40th floor u need a wind crystal or oleem fruit, or you will be stuck there. the game ends and you can go back up any time, you also get guy's keepsake sword which is 8+ attack to start out with i think. oh and did i tell you? ultimate egg which hatches that thing or w/e (i forgot name) is strong.. he can kill any 1 with 1 hit using this 1 abiliity other than that his normal attacks is stronger than a dragon. mp and hp are really high. and oh yea koh is my guy he got all teh ladies so talk with them.
