- Tile is a smooth surface, it will tend to be a bit slick. The best product to clean tile with is vinegar and water. My son has a tile business and suggests this to the homeowners he does work for.

- have had both - loved my marble tile floor for cleaning and appearance it always looked great. HATED my white ceramic tile floor - showed absolutely everything and had to be cleaned constantly and was very hard on the back. love love LOVE my factory finished hickory wood floors now. - Q: Our house has the same ceramic tile throughout the house but when we bought it, the owner didn‘t have any extra tiles. We have a crack that has spread through several tiles and needs to be repaired in some way. I haven‘t been able to find these tiles at any store. Any suggestions on how to get matching tiles or how to fix the crack if I can‘t find the matching tiles?
- Try to remove one or part of one (you may end up cracking another one though). Take it to a large tile store with experienced trained experts. Beware though - even if you do find the exact tile, it may not match exactly due to dye lots just plain aging of the current tiles. The current tile may not have been installed properly with hardibacker if there's a lot of cracking, or the tile itself may not have been the best quality, or they were cracked during moving of heavy appliances - a few possible scenarios of why these tiles cracked. SOMETIMES tile can be repaired, but it usually doesn't last long, especially if the cause was poor installation or the floor heaved for some reason.

- Q: We grouted the tile, and also had a border tile up.. the border is decorative and has some texture to it.We did wipe off the excess as we grouted. The next day tho, my brother sealed it, before making sure all the dust was off.. now there is some grout dust sealed onto the border tile. I scrubbed with a toothbrush, and managed to get some of it off.. but not all.Is there anything I can do to remove the grout, or even the seal, without ruining the finish on the tile??
- I tile every day of my life, and I empathize. Too bad the dust wasn't wet mopped away completely. I'd find out what the ingredients of the sealer are, and try to find a chemical designed to dissolve it. Below is a general link with some topics regarding your issue.
