Q: Have very cheap lino in my kitchen. Am thinking of putting tile down myself.
Not okorder Carole Q.
Q: Home Depot discontinued this tile and I need more...
we okorder ,which show the product of our company
Q: What supplies would you need to install Ceramic Tile to a kitchen floor.
Tile adhesive Tile grout Nothced adhesive trowel Grout float Tile snips Wet saw
Q: What is the white powder on the back of the floor tiles?
Is the end of the powder, the production process must have some raw materials Does not affect the combination of tiles and cement Can ignore its existence
Q: Easiest way to remove stick tile
use a heat gun
Q: To any DIY‘ers out there! My kitchen has a white tile backsplash and these decorative fruit motifs here and there. (you remember that trend?)There are only eight of them strategically placed, but I‘d really prefer that there were none, and just the plain white like the rest of the tiles. I can‘t really aford to retile the whole backsplash right now, so my question is .. Is there an effective way to cover them or paint them?
Yes....there is a way to pain over them... I was watching HGTV last night..an episode of Design on a Dime..and they painted over tile in a guest house..in the small foyer area and around a fireplace. They used, I believe a new paint that was an epoxy-type paint...go to HGTV's website and look at Design on a Dime ...painting over tile...there should be great resources there for you..(and how-to's)....
Q: Can I paint over the tiles? If so what kind of products would I use and how would I prep the tiles?
You okorder
Q: This is a first time tiling job. Does anyone have any tips to how to properly lay tile?
I have been a tile installer for over ten years now. Basic tile installations, such as floors and backsplashes are perfectly fine for any homeowner. There is not much that can go wrong ( mainly Aesthetics) When is entails water related installations ( Wet areas). This is when a homeowner can get in over their heads. Water will find its way out if a stall is not properly prepped and waterproofed. I honestly would recommend hiring a professional. Just my opinion.
Q: I have several boxes of wall tile and I would like to use some on a floor. Is this okay? What is the difference?
Wall tiles are to soft for floors they break easily. Floor tiles are hardened. I'm a builder 30 years.
Q: Specifically, what type of drill bit is required that won‘t chip the tile.
Tile of this type is baked, and is therefore very hard and the glaze is a very slick surface that the drill bit has trouble getting a bite on. You could try using a center punch to mark the hole location, being careful NOT to break the tile; or use a bit made for glass (uses diamond dust and actually grinds the hole rather than drilling it.)
