The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain?They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!
- i have a friend who got that done, and i am also wanting to get that done. she says it was a smart move to put the hoops in, and then the barbell, because it does reduce a lot of the pain. anyway, about the healing better, i didn't know that, but if that is the case, better safe than sorry.

- From what I see on the site, pick the 14GA 11/4 option since it's long enough to go through the top of your ear. Seems there was a little typo on the receipt your piercer gave you. The mm measurements next to each of the sizing options refer to the diameter of the balls on either side. Hope that helped!
