Q:I'm wanting a scaffold piercing so i can wear it with a bar or 2 rings. Could i get it PIERCED with the 2 rings to begin with or do i have to have a bar for the first few weeks/months?: Generally a Scaffold piercing is pierced with a needle and a bar runs through both piercings. You can get it done with BCR's, however it would be much more difficult to align the piercings up because of the curvature of the rings. Also the Scaffold can be pierced with PTFE or BIOPLAST, these are both lightweight and flexible and will take the pressure off of the piercing. You can also have the scaffold done with 2 separate Barbells, but the most common way is with one long Scaffold bar. These are usually around 38mm long and 1.6mm thick. Cartilage piercings can take quite a while to heal, anything from 12 weeks to a year to completely heal. If in any doubt, talk to your piercer first about your options.

Q:I'm asking this in favour of my friend who currently has no internet.She had her scaffold piercing done about 2 days ago and today it got knocked and started bleeding. It's been bleeding for about 3 hours now and she's worried about it.: First you gotta stop touching it, that's probably causing the irratation, hence bleeding. IT'll take time to heal, just leave it alone clean out the blood every hour or so, BE CAREFUL! and LEAVE IT IN!

Q:Ok, so I'm getting a industrial/scaffolding piercing tomorrow and I'm just wandering which ear I should get pierced?I sleep on my left ear;I have I side fridge that goes over my right eye.Also I know the right ear is more popular, is there a particular reason for this?Also how much pain should I be expecting?Thankksss..: if you sleep on your left ear, then i say get it on the right ear. ive never heard of the right ear being more popular, i have mine done on my left ear. mine hurt about a 6-7/10, but pain is different for everyone

Q:What kind of piercing would you recommend a scaffold piercing in the ears cartlidge or a belly button piercing?: I have both my cartilage and my belly button pierced. I love them both! Cartilage piercing was initially less painful until you had to turn it once a day during cleaning - that hurt a lot. Also, whichever side you get it pierced on - it will hurt SO bad if you sleep on that side. It takes around 8 months to a year to completely heal. Cost was $40. Belly button - It felt like a pinch when I got mine done. Clean this one 2x a day with sea salt soaks. Don't swim until it is completely healed. It takes 6-8 months to completely heal. Cost was $20 on half price piercing day - so it's usually $40.
