- Q: I got my scaffold/industrial piercing today..about 4 or 5 hours ago and The glands in my neck are now swollen pretty bad..I usually suffer with swollen glands but not this much..is this from the piercing?? Is it dangerous? Also my ear still stings is that normal?Thanks in advance
- Gosh Industrial do harm I'm now not going to lie. Cartilage piercings do not harm. But industrials are quite tough to handle. If you'll be able to manage affliction then get it. They're valued at it however they do harm.

- Q: I really wanna get my scaffold done but I've watched video's of it being done on youtube and I'm absolutely terrified now...a lot of the people getting it done screamed :/ .. please can anyone tell me how painful is it to get done? and afterwards? and also is it always done with a needle??Thanks in advance
- Yes, all piercings should be done with a needle. Guns are cattle tagging pieces of poop and are inadequate for any piercing. Everyone has a different pain tolerance but if it's something you really want it'll be worth the pain, and piercings only last for a second and it's done. I imagine it would be quite painful though as it's cartilage which always tends to be a little stingy when being pierced.
- Q: I got my industrial pierced about three days ago. The shop I wanted to go to closed so I went to another one that cost a bit more. The guy who pierced it said to only clean it with warm water, but when I got my helix, tounge webbing and angel bites I was told that all new piercings need disinfectant. What are some disinfectants I could use and am I right by doing this or should I listen to the piercer?
- Well you definitely need to use more than just warm water to clean it. Try using something like Provon soap and do sea salt soaks at least twice a day to keep it clean.
- Q: What do people think of scaffold piercings on guys? thinking of getting one?
- Also Industrial.....they can look cool on a guy - just get the right thing put in - the piercer can certainly make a recommendation. I think they look best when there are other unique piercings as well like crossed industrials with a tragus and a couple lobe piercings.

- Thats an awesome piercing, nice job! I'm not laughing about being unable to unscrew it - I have a piercing in my pinna I've never been able to get out - had it for like 6 months. What I will say it that you shouldn't be taking it out yet really anyway. If you wash it in sea-salt and warm water once a day it should be almost totally healed in 8 weeks, which is still about two weeks away if you got it on the 16th Feb. Even then for the first 6 months or so it'll close pretty quickly (not in like an hour or anything, but it could get tighter in as little as 3 or 4 hours), so you should try to leave it in all the time for that 6 month period.
- Q: I have already got a cartilage piercing, and I was considering getting a scaffold bar. I don't mind pain, but soon as it was in an unusual place, I was just a little bit curious.
- it wont hurt anymore than the piercing you already have probable, buuuut the long bar makes it easier to catch it and irritate the piercing, so just be careful, and youll be okay!
