Q:i have a report on it and its due on the 20th
They're loud. I've stopped traffic many times to let them walk across the road. They mate for life. I saw a Chinamen try to catch one so he could eat it once. True story.
Q:You know those machines you pay and get like 15 seconds to operate the fricken metal hand? Can you give me some tips?
make sure you find something that isn't trapped by anything else in the pit.. line up the crane one the front, then move over to the side and line it up... these machines used to be a lot easier 20 years ago, but now the arm doesn't apply much pressure.. it has to be lined up just right or you will never get anything...
Q:I read a book a year ago about sadako sasaki who tried to make all 1000 paper cranes to live. Do you have to keep saying your wish over again when your making them, and when you finished making all 1000 how long did you wait until your wish came true??
you make your wish once your done cause you only get the wish if you have 1000 cranes right so saying your wish when you only have 6 won't do anything. it can come true the next day till the next year or ten years it not something definite. I've never made 1000 but I think I will.
Q:If I have one week, is that enough time?
It all depends on how fast you can make one paper crane and how many hours you have available each day. If you made 15 an hour for 10 hours each day (150 cranes a day) for 7 days you would have 1050 cranes. You will probably find that you begin to go faster, the more cranes you make. However, after 2 or 3 days you will get sore hands and this will slow you down again. It's easier when you work as a team.
Q:Are sandhill cranes edible?
Most living creatures are edible. That being said, it doesn't mean that A) It will taste good or B) you will like it. However, there is an old saying that says, Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Now, if a person needed to eat one in order to survive a dire situation that's one thing. However, just to kill it and eat it out of curiosity is another thing. My suggestion...eat chicken (haha) besides most mystery meat is always said that it tastes like chicken. Another thing is that if you choose to mess around with wild birds, there's no guarantee that they don't have diseases like Avian bird flu. Farm raised animals at least get tested. Also, are sandhill cranes considered endangered for that matter? Just stuff to think about. You might want to talk to a Game Warden.
Q:Because they look a lot alike. Such as if you reinforced the design a little bit will it work?
It might - but the center of gravity and the tripod might not be able to hold the weight of the jib, camera, counter-weights... and personally, I think it would be a pretty expensive mistake to watch my $2,000 camcorder fall and brake because the camera crane collapsed under the weight. A mic tripod is designed to handle about a pound of weight. A consumer camcorder, the jib and counterweights (and maybe a mic or whatever else you throw on there) can be between 5 pounds and 50 pounds. That's why companies like Kessler make what they make. And that's why the companies that makes lesser camera cranes (Cobra, CameraCranes, and others) never use a mic tripod. They use a heavy duty camera tripod or other LARGE, STRONG, item - not a mic stand.
Q:Is boom truck a crane truck? Are they the same or two different kind of truck?
they are basically the same except a boom truck usually has a trailer and is used to haul things like limber or roof trusses
Q:any one can give me address for forged hook for crane?
here okorder /
Q:Im looking for more information on Overhead Cranes!?
You would get lot of information on Over Head Cranes as permanently installed material handling equipment for various industries, if you google search under EOT CRANES. As I know, in steel industries their capacities can go up to 400 Tons. EOT cranes are electrically powered and electrically controlled systems. These cranes are categorized for maintenance application and production application. At times their design and construction are quite complicated specially those of production application such as Steel melting shop of steel plant.
Q:Hey,My grandma has a big country estate with a river and its her birthday coming up. She's indicated she might like another peacock (we've had them before), but I'm thinking of branching out into other birds. We tried Lady Amerhursts pheasants, but one of the dogs knocked over their cage before they were properly acclimatised and they disappeared. So, does anyone know if its possible to get storks or cranes or other big waterbirds to keep as domestics? They'd be free ranging on the estate and the river, so need to be smart about foxes and mink (ie roost in trees or go into a house). We've kept geese and ducks successfully on our river like this, so does anyone have any ideas?Or should we try again with pretty pheasants?
Depends on where you live ? Stick to Ornamental Pheasants or Ducks,Storks and Cranes, need to be penned in at night because you will have to pinion them to prevent them flying. Try some Golden Pheasants for a try ,Lady Amherst are becoming a rare commodity and are quite expensive,if you have Foxes and Mink, then no matter what you get you will have problems these two predators.
