Q:Im wiring my pioneer deh x3600ui to my pontiac grand am gt 2002 directly without a factory harness. Any diagrams out there i can use? The red wire on my pioneer is for the ignition but i cant find that wire on the pontiac.
if u cant find a diagram u can always check the speakers for the colors of the wires and then just try to get a hold a cheap little voltage meter like the one below just to find ur ground, remote, and battery wire.
Q:yamazuki wire colors for a universal ignition switch
On the universal ones they are usually red, green and black, green is earth, red is live and black goes to the one that's left over :p Use a simple pound shop tester to check what's what on the bike or get some wire and a bulb and make one, connect one end of the tester to the posative ( + ) of the battery and then touch the tester to the ignition wires on the bike to find the earth it should light up then swap to negative ( - ) to find the live and then the one left goes to black ( the black wire should cone live when the key is turned on if I remember correctly ) That's what I did on my hongdou... Chinese bike so wasn't colour quadanated
Q:I have an old house with old wiring. I have no colors to go by.
How To Identify Neutral Wire
Q:coil wiring diagram
The two small wires are positive and negative. Most are color coded and if it's a OEM part, the negative will be the same color as the group of smaller wires connected to the negative battery cable. Each manufacturer uses different color codes and for instance, Kawasaki uses black with yellow stripe. The other wire will go to the positive side. If the coil doesn't have wire coming out if it, it may have a + or - sign by the terminals. In actuality, it doesn't really matter which way you hook it up because a coil doesn't really care which way the electricity travels. It's the collapsing magnetic field that creates the spark and not the direction or movement of electricity.
Q:I need the designations for the wires so I can splice in an amp.
Speaker wires: left front: (+) tan (-) gray right front: (+) lt. green (-) dk. green left rear: (+) brown (-) yellow right rear: (+) dk. blue (-) lt. blue Accessory power at radio for amp turn-on: yellow (only in 2003 and older; should be located next to orange constant power wire)
Q:Lime Wire is a software that lets you download songs.
Watch out for small files. An MP3 files is usually about 2 or 3Mb or more depending on the bitrate. Anything less than 1Mb might be a virus. But that's no guarantee.
Q:I removed the thermostat before marking the wires and I need to know if anyone knows which wires go where?
Hello Kaitlin: It depends on what wires come from the furnace. You will need to go to the furnace and look at the wires. If it is a gas furnace (with air cond.), there should be a R terminal with a red wire attached this is the power line. The W terminal (heat) has a white wire attached. The G terminal (fan) should have a green wire. The C (common) terminal may have a blue or black wire (or not). The Y (cooling) terminal may have a yellow wire. If it is a heat pump, the wires will be R (power), Y (compressor), O or B (reversing valve), G (fan), C (common), the backup heat has different designations, from W2 to Aux, others. There should be a legend on the furnace to assist. Good luck.
Q:I have DirectWay and have a wireless router. I recently hardwired my computer in because I kept losing signal. The distance between my computer and the router is about 30 ft. But since I hardwired my computer in, it seems slower than when I ran the wireless adapter, i.e downloading videos and music. I was under the impression that wired was faster. What gives????
Wired is more reliable and realistically faster in most cases.
Q:just need how u think it would be wired for like the whole circuite thingy
The hot wire terminal will have a brass colored terminal screw and the neutral wire terminal will have a silver colored screw. Be sure to connect the ground wire (if a terminal exists) to the terminal with a green screw.
Q:How can I investigate the resistance of wire and how it changes with the length of the wireCheers
get a multimeter. get long lengths of different gauge (diameter) copper lead wire. for each diameter, measure the resistance. cut 1ft off, measure the resistance, cut 1ft off, measure the resistance, cut 1ft off, etc etc. plot the resistance vs length for each gauge separately. show that the resistance is linear in the wire length in each case. now use the different diameter data to measure the resisitivity of copper. resisitivity rho = R*A/L R = resistance L = length A = cross-sectional area cheers
