Q: I am dead!!! My mom and Dads' Town Country is old, a 1996, but my dad loves it. He keeps it looking new. He will never get rid of it. I am 20y/o and screwed up. I slammed the driver side door and when I tried to roll it up, the back came up. Not the rest. I took the door apart, and there are cables all undone, and I don't know what the hell to do. I don't have a lot of money or time. They will be back in three days. I called the dealer, they said $300.00. I'm toast. Can anyone save me from this death sentence?
Listen Dud, Sprinkles is right. You didn't break the regulator. I have replaced enough of those thing to fill a dumpster. They have plastic parts in them that just wear out. However they are expensive BUT I do not recommend you changing it by you're self. The new one can fly apart on you if you don't handle it just right. And it's A BEAR to get back together!
Q: I have a Dell Latitude D505. I do not need comments on whether I have a good laptop or not. That's not the point.I heard a tiny pop sound, and after that, my laptop is not recognizing the power cable. I don't think it's the cable. I've tried restarting the computer. Any suggestions?
Something broke and you will not fix your problem here. Only a computer tech can help you now.
Q: i have a dynamic ip and would like to update my ip about 5-10 times a day- the cable modem is in the next room. Is there a command or way to program a command so that i can power it off and back on or even restart it from my computer instead of walking over and unplugging it?
Your cable modem doesn't have its own IP address. Your PC that's plugged into the modem is what gets a unique IP. IP addresses are obtained on a lease that tends to use the same address until explicitly renewed or your connection goes offline for an appreciable time. If you want to change it, you can write a script (BAT file) to release and then renew your IP address (type ipconfig /? at a command prompt to learn how to use). I don't know why you want your IP to change so frequently. Your Cable provider knows exactly who is using which IP and when, so it wouldn't shield you from the RIAA/MPAA. If you are concerned about security, you're best off with a hardware router (Linksys or D-Link are 2 popular brands) that includes a firewall.
Q: Okay so I'm production manager for a play in Oxford and I need to have a giant cardboard box drop from the ceiling triggered by an actor with a remote control on stage.I've found a rather nice electromagnet which should do the job which is triggered by a 9V battery. The trigger is an IR unit I'm building which finishes with a relay. The question is can I use a sound XLR cable as the wires in my circuit between the battery with the IR unit and the electromagnet?i.e.Electromagnet -----XLR-----gt; battery -------XLR-----gt; IR unitStandard XLR's do have 3 cables in and surely I only need 2 to complete the circuit. The only reason I'm thinking about using XLRs is that I'm not sure of the distance between things yet and I have plenty of XLRs in many different lengths.Any ideas?
I have used XLR cables for a lot of different purposes some are: Added a push button adapter to the end of a XLR so that a weather person could change weather graphics. Made RJ-11 telephone to XLR adapter for temporary telephone. Low power speaker cables. Even used them for mic cables. Belden 8412 is a thick rubber coated audio cable that is like a tank . . . it is hard to destroy you could short a 9 volt on the opposite end and not damage the cable. Use pins 23 for your project and if possible, connect pin 1 to an earth ground or common from your battery. Hope this helps. D.bumstead
Q: all my cables are pluged in but i have no power to printer lexmarkz43
Make sure all the power cable connections are tight first. Often where the power cable connects to the back of the printer, the cable can come loose. If all connections are tight, your power cable could possibly be bad, but as well so could the power supply of your printer.
Q: On my PSU I have two PCI-E 6 pin cables. I have looked at the motherboard and saw there is nowhere to plug it in and my motherboard manual says of no slots for it but I do have two PCI-Express slots. Do they plug into the cards themselves or something? How do I use the PCI-E power cables?
The PCI-E power cables plug into cards that require more power than the PCI-E slot can provide. Usually this is only needed for higher-end video cards.
Q: Title says it all, Can you please show the link to it like on OKorder or something, thanks.
I agree completely with the reply above However SOME eSATA cards that have external power jacks to power the external drive will have either a four pin Molex plug (same as an IDE/PATA drive) or a Floppy power plug. And back in the day when Firewire was more common any good firewire card had a power socket on it, again, either a Molex plug or a floppy power plug. AD
Q: This is all I got in my PC, where is it?
it's just connected to the motherboard so find the hard drive, follow the cords to the mobo and one of those is it
Q: What cable am I supposed to use for power?
That kind, it's kind of hard to see on the OKorder pic. Usually your switch should come with a console cable and the power cord, unless you bought it used. The person probably kept it.
Q: How to choose the type of street lamp cable specifications, anxious
