Q: ok so i'm building a high gaming computer. my question is i'm a getting a Full moduler power supply my question is do i have to buy the cables for power does the componets i buy come with them??? oh and by the way just curious what happens if you touch thermal paste with your finger???
All the necessary wires with come with the PSU, modular or not. And nothing will happen. It will just feel like grease. Just go wash it off w soap
Q: I just traded with someone and got a PS3. It came with just the power cord. When I plug it in the red light comes on but it just beeps twice and that's it. Is it because I don't have an AV cable or it is broken?
You need the av cable to see and hear it but if it doesn't turn on at all it's broken. It should start with just the power cord
Q: Can i leave my laptop on the whole day and just turn it off at night? It has a standby mode but i dont no if thats resourceful. Also it has sleep and hibernate. Will leaving the power cord in be bad?
most of the time, batteries will not be harmed by leaving them on charge. however the way most people use is shutting down the system turning off computer from start button. power cord left pluged in would not matter if system were shut down.
Q: Hi,I have just bought a jasper xbox and i know this as it says ''12V, 12,1A'' on the back yet my power cable says ''12V, 16,5A''.I thought that the jasper xbox requires a specific power connector which wont fit the other types. Mine seems to fit fine, so have i got something wrong here? Cheers
i don't know if somethings wrong with your xbox or power brick but i can tell u tho, if u use a Xenon power brick (12V,16,5A) on a jasper xbox u will run into a problem later on, for it will overheat and the CPU and GPU will warp and pull there self away from the motherboard, if u have ever heard of the towel trick( wrapping your xbox in a towel so it will overheat and the solder will pool up and re-solder the CPU/GPU back in place) that's where it come from, i would buy a jasper power brick if i were u (12V, 12,1A).
Q: My power supply (tagan 1100w) has an 8pin m/b power cable but the PCIe one looks cooler.
yes you have ues it
Q: A friend gave me this monitor, but didn't know where the power cord was. I made the mistake of thinking to myself quot;Oh well, it's just the standard plug, I'll just use one at home. But it is this weird 4-5 Pronged slot I haven't seen before. The manufacturer is HP, but I couldn't find any accessories on their site. Can anyone tell me what kind of plug would fit this, or where to get one? I have included a picture, sorry for the poor quality, but it is from my phone.

Q: So I've been working on my computer aand looking to invest in a primary Hard Disk (instead of X2 250GB hard drives). I noticed the drive i have has Fantasy power outlets and newer models have SATA Power so I'm kind of confused on the Hard Drive i should get. I'm looking at hard drives 500GB-1TB
Fantasy power outlets don't sound standard. SATA is consistent on both PCs and Macintosh computers.
Q: My power cord for my computer and all usb cables i have seen have these cylindrical things on them. What do they do?
Those devices are for supressing RF interference to external devices. The high data rates, tend to create signals just like transmitters, which can interfere, with you TV, cordless phone, stereo system, etc.
Q: So I have a ordinary pc with a 500gb seagate hardrive in...and I have another seagate hardrive I want to put in (also 500gb) but do I need the sata power cable since it is not the main hardrive or can I only insert the Data cable for the harddrive since I didn't get any cables with my hardrive do I need need both cables, the Data and power cables or can only use the data cable ?
The drive needs both power and data. You'll need something like the cable in my source. Figure out where you're going to draw power from before you order a cable. The cable that I link to will connect into a 4-pin molex connector. It is a passthrough connector, which means that it has both a male and female end. If you have a 4-pin molex that is already in use, this splitter connector goes in the middle so that the molex still provides power to the original connector. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well.
Q: My Xbox 360's power supply cord is very loosely connected. I've tried to push it with force, didn't go further. Games lag a bit (GTA IV, for example) at graphically expensive situations. Simplier games like Limbo and Worms run without any problems. I think my console suffers from voltage drop because cable isn't properly connected.Power cord looked like this already when I connected my console for the first time. Now my Xbox 360 S is only couple of days old. Please tell me what your consoles look like. Power supply's light is also orange. Not yellow, not red - orange.
It's not possible to drop voltage as you said. It's either connected, or it's not. The power won't wain. It just won't work at all if not properly inserted. But if the power cord won't seat properly in a brand new console, you're still under warranty. I'd get it replaced if I were you..
