- lol. We don't shed anymore than anyone else. It just seems that way because the hairs are so apparent. Yes, it does screw up the vacuum if you're not careful. I always turn mine over to check and see if the rotating brush thing is tangled before I go to use it.

- I okorder - they sell everything. Go to vacuum cleaners and read the reviews of those who have bought the machines. And when you go to the store, make sure you plug a machine in and run it - listen to it - make sure the motor sounds competent (not screaming) - and make sure it has some suction. Any vacuum cleaner will pick up the bowling ball (that's a common sales pitch) if you form a good seal against the bowling ball - so don't be fooled by that one. And remember - all the machines in the stores will have new bags - so that's the best suction they'll ever have. Be careful. The entire industry seems to have gone to hell.

- That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
- Q: I have an Intex Ultra Frame pool with filter pump model 635 (1500 gph). Are there any affordable pool vac's that will work with my pool. I was told at the pool store that none of the hoses that come with the common on the market pool vac's will work with my pool. Even Intex makes one but the filter pump must be at least 2000 gph. Please help- I'm tired of using the garden hose type vacuum. Points for best answer!
- Have okorder ... Your local pool shop should be able to get one in for you, since most deal Polaris or at least the good ones do. This is a pressure side cleaner, not a suction based one, so it's a little more forgiving of smaller pool pumps and will definitely work for you. I'm just not sure what your budget is though since Polaris cleaners tend to be a little more than other makes, but ..you get what you pay for and Polaris is one of the leaders in the industry.
- Q: I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!

- I've had a kirby G4 (generation 4) and it's been great. The only downside is you can only buy the bags from a dealer (or rep like at a sewing center or repair shop) or online and they tend to be expensive. It comes with alot of attachments, but to use the hose requires getting down, removing the front metal part and attaching the hose. They usually come with a dvd (or you can probably watch it on their website) that goes over how to take that on and off, and do other things with it like using it for a blower (like to clean your deck of leaves), rug shampoer and upholstery cleaner, and how to remove the bag. They tend to be heavy but last forever. Any of the generation (G) models would probably be fine.
