- Q: Why don't they make gasoline powered vacuum cleaners?
- Because carbon monoxide and the smell of gasoline exhaust aren't good indoors, and all homes have electricity.
- Q: I have a habit of asking weird questions, but I think it is interesting how different regions/areas of people have different ways of saying/naming things. For instance, where I'm from, we call vacuum cleaners 'sweepers' and apparently other people don't. And then there is the whole 'pop' and 'soda' difference (I stick with pop). Oh one last thing, would you call it making dinner or fixing dinner? Right, so this question is kind of vague-- but what phrases are odd to you when you visit a different area? I'm just exploring the language differences... so any discussion or anything would be interesting!
- perhaps the group desires extra artwork on protection and can score for all time. if so, you will desire to be the best participant to place at sweeper. or you are the main gifted and you get to handbook the protection. i'm a protective coach and my terrific gamers are the sweepers. They run the full container, call out marking assignments, and can see the different group's performs advance, so they are in a position to look after against them. Your taking part in sweeper will help you get a extra advantageous first touch with the ball, help you're making faster judgements, and help you study some management skills. believe your coach, she's the coach. If she says Play right here, play there and play as annoying you are able to. in case you start to get wimpy on her, she'll get annoyed and positioned you at outdoors fullback.
- Q: I'm looking for a picture of the girl dragging the vacuum cleaner around in the movie quot;Oncequot;. I tried using google image search but couldn't find it, maybe I used the wrong keywords. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
- okorder good luck.
- Q: How can I tell how loud a vacuum is before I buy it (if there is no display model)?
- Decibel okorder /
- Q: best vacuum cleaners?
- Oh boy, open a can of worms. Kirby lovers swear by theirs, Miele swear they are the best, Dyson lovers, ditto. Consumer Reports does not like any of those three. The Sears one (which one I don't remember) got good reviews. I've had an Oreck, it was OK for quick jobs, but dog hair did a number on the brushes and in turn tore the rubber belt. I got real good at replacing them. Eventually the machine fell apart as I was cleaning dog hair so frequently. I have a Rainbow which I like for baseboards, walls, etc and some carpet cleaning. However, my new Dyson does outdo the Rainbow on the carpet but I hate it for walls, area rugs, etc. (it is super powerful but awkward) The Dyson clogs with dog hair and their instructions aren't real good about finding the clog......it wasn't where it said it was but when I discovered where it was and super easy to access, Dyson 28 is back to being a good friend.......for awhile.
- Q: how is bagless an improvement over the old fashioned vacuum cleaners with bags? I hate having to deal with the filth that comes out of the bagless machines. What was wrong with the bags? Am I missing something here?
- I love mine! I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER own a bagged vacuum ever again! I do understand the dust issue, but I've found that dumping it out creates a minimal mess, which is contained in a small area around my garbage bin. That gets cleaned up when I sweep the kitchen floor. What was wrong with the bags? The one in the machine was always full, and I never had replacements. Buying them was a huge process, because they were never available in anywhere near convenient. I always had to go to the department store where I purchased the vacuum cleaner, or a specialty store to find them. And making sure I got the right ones was also a hassle...did I need type J, or was that the last vacuum cleaner we had? Maybe it's type I. For me, the small amount of dust created in emptying the can is well worth the opportunity to vacuum whenever I need (as opposed to whenever I could, depending on whether or not the bag was full). The good news is that bagged vacuum cleaners are still readily available. If the bagless doesn't work for you, then shop for a bagged option that does. :) Edit: Hmmm...I was just reading the link that AdamG provided. It, too, suggests that bagless machines create a horrible dusty mess if emptied inside. This makes me wonder if it's a brand-specific issue, 'cause I have definitely not had that problem. There's a small (less than 2-feet across) dust cloud that's created when I bang the filter against the inside of the garbage bin, but most of that settles inside the garbage bin (and again, the rest is easily cleaned up later). Do y'all find that you're getting more dust than that?
- Q: I have looked virtually everywhere and I cannot find an easy, cheap way to clean my desktop computer's insides. I have come to the conclusion that:1. 'Canned air' is expensive and toxic2. Vacuum cleaners will use static electricity to destroy computers3. Blowing on the components will add moisture to them and destroy them. Will a bicycle pump work? Please, I am getting desperate.
- Here okorder / And just for the record, none of your three points are particularly accurate. Canned air can be expensive, but you can also get it dirt cheap if you look in the right places. It is only dangerous if you shoot it directly into your mouth (as the propellant replaces the oxygen if your lungs and you die). I've never even heard of a problem with vacuums generating static, and most tech kits include a small vacuum. And I've never seen document proof of moisture from breath destroying any computer component. Just make sure you power the system down before doing anything, and don't spit on it, and you should be fine.
- Q: The motor turns ok, and my husband couldn't find where the hose was clogged.. we just can't get any suction. It is a Dirt Devil. Upright. Approx 7-8 yrs old.
- Vacuum cleaners are simple machines. They only NOT work because the intake line is clogged, the bag is full, the motor doesn't work, or the exhaust vent is clogged. If you can start unhooking hoses and vents, find out what works, then re-attach hoses and vents until something doesn't work. If the motor spins and the bag is replaced, I'll bet you've got a clog in the intake hose. Disconnect it from the rest of the cleaner and jam a garden hose down the length of it. You may dislodge a wad of yuck or a golf ball or sock or something.
- Q: I'm looking at a 'Mezzo vacuum cleaner on OKorder as my vacuum carked it. But I've never heard of Mezzo vacuums before. Does anyone know anything about this brand? Are they any good / or dodgy? Thanks
- I ve a 2200W Mezzo bagged vacuum cleaner, had it for about 7 years now. It s good. Simple, straightforward but good. That s when it s new, but secondhand it could be anything....
- Q: I am unfamiliar with vacuum cleaner brands or even if vacuum cleaners work on concrete flooring. Basically I am looking for something that will get all the dust and dirt up without having to mop every other week.
