Q: What are ceramic braces?: My creak was an axel en route to failing. Had a devil of a time figuring it out and then it revealed itself to me when things went flying!

Q: I have some thin rope border tiles that look really dull, but I notice when I wet them to scrub the left over grout out of the lines, they look really shiny and pretty. It made me wonder if I could coat them with some polyurethane to make them pop?: Not a good idea. It would not adhear well to ceramic tile and will change the color as poly is not perfectly clear.

Q: Should I get ceramic braces?!: No, I actually think you should jsut get the traditional metal braces. First of all, the ceramic braces stain much easier. The brackets will turn into a yellowish color by the end of the month. The metal braces aren't that noticeable, even if they do stain. Also, ceramic braces cost a little more. I mean, if you cnas fix your teeth for less, wouldn't you jsut do it? Another reason is that they take just a little longer to fix your teeth than regular braces. Maybe a half a year longer or so. Well, at least that's what my orthodontist told me. Antoher reason is that you can't get ceramic braces on both, top and bottom. You can only get them on the top and you have to wear the regular braces on the bottom. I think that would look a little bit stupid. Also, have you thought that regualr braces will actually be LESS noticeable. For example, if someone sees the ceramic braces, they will wonder wh ytehy can only see one wire and not the whole bracket because those a re not common. IF they see metal braces, they'll know they're jsut regular braces and won't really pay much attention to them because everyone has them. Oh and also, on the regular ones, you can change the colors. I think that's a really fun addition, and you can customize your mouth, haha. ]

Q: I am looking for an affordable, GOOD education to earn an MFA in ceramics. Preferrably on the east coast. Once earned, I would like to get a job teaching at the university level. Can anyone reccomend a good program?: NCECA, National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, would be a very good organization for you to join. They have resources and a directory you would be interested in. Each year there is a conference with workshops, lectures, demos, exhibitions and more all to do with the ceramic arts. Many colleges have representatives that have booths with info on MFA and BFA programs. Unfortunately, the next conference is spring 2011 in Tampa, FL. There are many programs on the east coast including NYS College of Ceramics Alfred University which is very well respected. Hartford Art School at University of Hartford, CT, many schools in NYC, and check out the Rochester Institute of Technology w/ it's School for American Crafts. The important thing is to find a school with professors you want to study with. Check out their work and see if it is inspiring to you. If you already have a BFA you should talk to your teachers from that program to get some input.

Q: just wanted to know.: Yes. Or build a solenoid and power it from a suitable source. It depends on what the hypothesis is that you're trying to test. The effect of static magnetic fields? The effect of time-varying fields (use AC power - ah, but perhaps the frequency has an influence?) First build a testable hypothesis.

Q: i want braces but i need the cost plzz help also which one is better?: Right now i say about the average for invisalign is at 5000.00. For simple cases at least 3500.00 How bad are your teeth? It really depends on your teeth and how long it will need to take to keep them on. Do you have insurance? I had insurance and my daughter had braces put on. Its been alittle over a year and her teeth are in perfect condition. I'd say another 1/2 year and we'll be done. She had it done with no pain or extractions. they have a new system where they can fix your teeth without pulling them out. The only thing is that you'll need to have your wisdom teeth out. Your other teeth remain where they are. Also have all your cavaties filled. It helps so they won't have to work around your braces. i think braces are better. They work faster. (: Ceramic hair irons, imo, are better because they create a more sleek and soft look. They don't completely leave your hair unharmed but they do less damage. Regular hair irons sometimes damage your hair more than you think. Ceramic irons aren't always that expensive; you can find some decent ones around $20 or even try searching for some on OKorder.
