- If you can't find what you like in curtains, consider bed sheets. Look at Thrift stores, Garage Sales, and other discount stores. Find curtain rods their too. You can just staple it to the wall, and cover it with crown molding, or some other decoration. They're making cute fringes now. Get them at craft stores. Craft stores have all sorts of finishings in the furniture department. Also, the garage sales and thrift stores will have all sorts of things for you to re-purpose. Use your imagination.

- Q: I have very light orange (beigy orange) curtains tailored in traditional style (valence and sheer curtails and drapes with tie backs etc for a huge master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling. The bed rooms huge so I am not worried about it looking smaller when painted with dark colors. However will chochlate brown be too dark? too heavy? I personally LOVE lighter shades on the walls but I made a mistake and I now have to work with these light orange curtains.. so I am stuck! So my question is if I paint two opposite walls chochlate brown and the other warm beige and put these light orange curtains and buy a chochlate/beige (more beige less chochlate) comforter set.. will I be adding myself to the ugly house list?Any other color suggestions???/ Please help!!!

- I'm hoping your talking about wooden studs or this will sound stupid. Just use wood screws! When they install a door or window on an outside wall there is a large double board on top called a header. This header holds the weight that would normally be supported by studs if the opening was not there. Therefore, you will have wood all the way across the opening.
