Q: And then you use a hair dryer on it and it shrinks the plastic?Does that work for all plastic? Will all plastic shrink? Or are the ones in the store a 'special' type of plastic?: Not all plastic shrink. The window kits you refer to are specially designed to shrink. There are also craft plastic designed to shrink suck as shrink a dinks a crafty kit for making all kinds of interesting toys and gadgets.

Q: i am doing this investigatory project about different kinds of windows and im testing the difference between glass and plastic windows and i found that plastic windows make the room hotter than glass windows. Why is this so? what is in both these materials that causes this result? what are they made of and what contributes to this result? please help me. i need this by tomorrow!!!:(: It has to do with how well the material conducts energy. Plastic is probably a better insulator which means it does not transfer energy well. Glass is also an insulator but maybe it isn't as good of an insulator. Try doing more research on the conductive/heat transfer properties of glass vs. plastic.

Q: My windows seem to be extra drafty this year... It seems like one of them is open, but I can't find anything wrong with them. Anyhow, my heat is kicking on like every 15 minutes! They contain sheets of plastic film, which looks like cling-film, but is slightly thicker. The kit also comes with double-sided tape, and you use this to tape the wooden framing (around the window pane). You then cut out the plastic to fit the size of your window frame and fix it to the tape. Finally, you blow a hair dryer on the plastic, which shrinks it so that it is very tight.

Q: I would like to completely remove it off of the car without removing the whole top? (The zipper broke): I removed mine with a razor knife, just be careful not to cut your fingers..

Q: There is a tear in my drivers side window at the bottom where the plastic is covered by the fabric, but the fabric is coming lose and the tear is starting to show and open itself to elements. Also, this window zipper only closes and opens one way, going the other way the teeth will not connect, any ideas? The cling is about 6quot; in diameter.: I would think it may stick, but it would probably fall off due to the bumpiness of driving, plus when you wash it, it will make it fall off. If your windows are tinted, I wouldn't even mess with it because it may cause a discoloration, but I am not positive. I hope this helps you some! Btw, I love window clings too! :)

Q: for wranglar soft top windows: they do make a spray on tint, but it's mainly for glass. You need to call your local tint shop and ask them what they recommend for Jeep windows EDIT: check on places like JC Whitney or Boss Vann and accessories, I'm sure an aftermarket company makes tinted replacements for a jeep.

Q: Our landlord is obsessed with everything looking the same, but people here want to put up their own window treatments. What are tenant rights in this situation?: You may be stuck. Typically, landlord want a uniform look on the exterior of their units. That doesn't mean, however, that you can't hang your own window treatments on the inside of your apartment. Sometimes simple drapery panels from a rod will divert the eye from blinds. You could even hang a 'sheer' panel or two with draperies on top via a 'double' rod. This would help minimize the blinds further. Many retailers sell cost effective 'ready-made' curtain panels with tab-tops, rod pockets, etc. which are simple to hang and look expensive.
