- depends on your region because you do not want moisture build up in your house but the outside of the window would keep the wind from hitting the window somewhat and does not conduct temperatures like single pane glass. but it probably would not look are last as long on the outside

- Q: I'm about to move into an apartment room that I have been warned gets very cold in the winter (I live in MN). However, the person telling me this also mentioned that the windows had not been plastic wrapped the previous winter. In her opinion, however, plastic wrapping the windows would do no good because according to her quot;you can actually feel the cold coming up through the floor.quot; I think it's possible though that what she felt coming in through the floor was actually the drafts from the window sinking to the ground and spreading. Would plastic wrapping my windows eliminate this problem? Or would the room still be cold/I should request a different one? Thanks
- Plastic around windows, if done correctly will help keep most of the cold air from entering windows..one draw back is not being able to see clearly through plastic..
- Q: I need to mask some windows off using just painters plastic and 2quot; tape. My problem is where I'm supose to lay the tape is flush with the glass. Am I supose to cut the plastic to size, tape up the corners and then tape seams? Sorry, new to airless.
- You got it Tape windows first, use a razor knife for corners.Now tape plastic to the tape on windows. Cut plastic smaller then window so you tape on tape.
- Q: I figure that the little windows are plastic, not paper, and shouldn't be included with the paper products in the bins at the recycling centers. Am I right or wrong? It takes a lot of extra time to sort through all the junk mail in order to discard these envelopes.

- Q: So we just moved into an old home that is notorious for being difficult to keep warm in the winter. The previous tenants had plastic on the windows to keep the cold out. Well, its July here and keeping the cold out is no longer a concern. The plastic looks terrible and if its not serving a purpose, I'd like to take it down for the summer and fall season. - It serves the purpose of making your home a sauna, so remove it. Also if you like fresh circulated air from a cool clear night you're not going to get it leaving the plastic up. It literally takes less than 5 minutes per window to re-apply before winter and the kits only cost about 10-15 bucks with enough for 10 windows. Take it down already.

- Sounds like you are in an old house with single pane windows. Go to Home Depot and talk to them about weather stripping your windows and doors. Check all the outlets on outside walls too. They make an insert you can put under the cover plate to stop drafts. You might look into the plastic that you heat up and it forms a tight seal on the windows. Insulated drapes would help a lot as well. Good Luck!!
