- The plastic would be a contaminant. You should either remove the plastic window before recycling or dispose of the plastic window envelope in a garbage bin. Putting plastic windowed envelopes in with recyclable paper can render the entire batch unusable.
- Q: I own a 323i bmw convertible. I just replaced the top but the back plastic window is already starting to cloud. I was recommended a wax called ziond or something along those lines. It worked the first time but is now turning the window yellow. I dont wish to replace the window so i was wondering if anyone knew an easier option? such as some home remedy to grease it off. idk ive tried everything!thanks!
- confident, yet as with every issues beemer, it is going to fee you. i mandatory that finished too. I have been given 4 costs. In all 4 situations, changing the whole marvelous fee approximately $200 extra effective than changing merely the window. considering my camel colored marvelous had some floor in stains, i desperate having an entire new marvelous became nicely certainly worth the extra effective $200.

- I can find that sell the window regulator clips individually. They have them for Audi, Volkswagon, BMW and other makes as well. If you are going to fix it yourself, they also have a tutorials section, including video guides.

- When you know you'll be comfortable in the house without the plastic on the windows. Some people are comfortable when the weather gets into the 50's, some at other temperatures.

- Depends what part you mean by plastic window moulding. The rubber stuff that's like a soft bumper is called weather stripping--you can pick that up at any auto parts store. If you mean the small piece of plastic that goes around the edge of the window itself--that comes with the window. The only way to make it look professional is to replace the window. Or at a minimum take the window out, strip the old stuff then replace it with new. An auto glass repair shop is the best place to talk to them about that. If you mean a plastic trim piece inside the car you can try a chevy dealer but it might be difficult to find parts for that model as it hasn't been made in about 15 years. Then you're stuck calling around to junk yards. Sorry, sorry, the new P.C. term is salvage lots.

- Never pay a contractor to do the work before the job is done. If they say they need cash upfront to get the materials, that should be a red flag that they do not have an account anywhere to get supplies. Yes, plastic on the windows helps tremendously if done properly.It keeps the air out. You will notice a big difference.I put an electric blanket on my bed, so I am able to turn the heat way back at night.I always try to wear warm socks and sweats around the house when I am home.If it is real cold outside, I make sure I leave the doors open under my kitchen and bathroom sinks to help the pipes stay warm. Close any outside vents or insulate basement windows.My house is only 900 sq ft also, and my gas budget is $38 a month.Keep warm.

- I would suggest the type that are like storm windows. They are double layers and create dead air spaces that stop the heat flow -- not much of an R value, but better than thin plastic sheeting. R= 1 (for the really cold days, the best insulation for windows is to cut a 1 inch thick foil faced styrofoam sheet - cut it to size so that it pressure fits inside your window framing. = R = 6.5
