- They are passive speakers and require a compatible amplifier or receiver that is rated for the impedance of those speakers to safely work, otherwise you stand a good chance of burning up whatever you have them hooked up to.
- Q: Our comcast HD cable box usually has the time and a little red light on front. Its blank and has no power. It is plugged into a power strip that also has the TV and stereo, yet those are working fine. We reset the power strip and still no power to the cable box.Any ideas? Please no rude remarks. Thanks.
- Cable boxes can die. I had two Comcast boxes, had an electrical storm and it knocked both of them out for good. Nothing else in the house failed. I called Comcast they sent out a tech with new boxes and that fixed it.
- Q: i have a sata hard drive that i wont to put in an older mb. i purchased an adpater but i do not know what the larger sata cable if for. there is no place to put it.
- One cable is the power cable and one is the data cable, just like IDE drives have two cables for the same purpose. You will need to have a 4-pin molex to SATA power cable connector and also a hard drive controller card with a SATA port on it for you to be able to connect the drive. If you don't have both of these, you won'e be able to hook up the drive at all.

- Throw the piece of crap away. Just kidding, but it wouldn't make sense to take it to a repair shop when you could buy a new one for $100 bucks. Just roll the cord up when your finished using it.
- Q: I got a free graphics card from my cousin and my computer only has the SATA slots for graphic cards and the one he gave me has the 4 Pin cable. Is there anyway to get it converted or any cables that can go from 4 Pin to sata? I wanna see how this graphics card goes when its working fully.
- Sure you don't have any molex connectors at all? Not even in your DVD drive? If so, get a Y adapter with a good amount of length. If not, then look for an adapter. Be careful as the vast majority are to convert a molex power cable to a SATA power connector, not the other way around. In the worst case you could hook up a separate power supply to it.
- Q: I lost these cables in a move so I'm looking to buy a replacement USB cable and the Power Adapter and cord. What cables do I need, and where can I buy them? :(
- The power cable and adapter will probably be unique to the scanner. You'll have to order the right one from HP, or through a computer store. The USB cable should be standard. Most printers and scanners use a USB cable with a Type A connector (flat) on one end, and a Type B connector (squared-off) on the other end. They're easy to find at Staples, as well as at computer stores.
- Q: I want to hook up (charge) my iphone AND my radar on my motorcycle. My radar is already wired to the 12v cable in my bike. Now can I hook up the iphone to the same cable? or is it gonna be drawing too much power? thxI was planning on buying the cigarrete lighter thing, and pluging the iphone into that. I'd obviously hook up the cig lighter to the 12v cable.

- Check first for any factory made holes that are not in use or have extra space to be used. If you are explorer is anything like my Taurus I would say somewhere near where your steering wheel connects to the firewall. But it will be kinda risky around that area since you would have to be careful for your power steering.
