- Q: Hi, just moved to Finland from US. Will my x box 360 works with a new powell cable? Or do I need something else besides that. And where should I get it from in Turku or Helsinki. Thank you!
- You could probably buy an adapter plug for your existing cable. Getting a whole new cable might very well mess with the machine itself, and be more expensive than a simple adapter. Just go to an electronics’ store, with the cable, (the bigger the better) and ask for a suitable adapter for it.
- Q: the contant power cables go to my car alarm, led lights, siren, power locks, power windows, and alarm bypass... they are very small thin awg wires... the ignition and constant power cables under ignition housing are alot thicker... is this possible with no problems?
- confident, you're able to do this. make beneficial each and every capability twine has its own fuse close to the battery. Addressing the different solutions: this won't drain the battery any quicker than working a single twine to a distribution block; and there isn't any might desire to characteristic a 2d battery except you intend to play the gadget for long classes without the engine working.
- Q: My stereo in my car is cutting out (powering off and on again) on high volumes. I'm trying to determine if it's my amp/sub-woofer or not. I switch off my amp with my remote power switch (the blue cable switch) and I still get the cut out. Is this conclusive enough to indicate that the problem is not with my amp/subwoofer?
- Ok, so this is what your going to do to test this. First unscrew your remote switch and place a wire from the positive terminal from your amp to the remote switch on your amp and then the amp should power on. now if you have the same problem it is most likely that it is not that the remote switch is having problems but probably your sub is not matched with your amp and has greater ohms than your amp is capable of therefore sending it into protect mode which would make sense since you say it is when you turn up the volume. I wish the best of luck : ) P.S check your wattage if your amp draws more than 600+ maybe even 500 your battery may not be able to power it so maybe if all else fails see if you can get your hands on a capacitor.
- Q: I'm using macbook air,and the charger is plugged into it,the battery is full right now,so where is the power source from when it's running?Battery or directly from cable?
- Power cable. If the electrical power fails, your laptop will automatically begin using the battery power.
- Q: SATA power connector? If so where can i buy one?
- Probably, but most people just buy Molex to SATA power adapters. If you need more Molex 4 pin plugs, just buy some Y splitters. Any computer store worth a darn should have some of both in stock, even the chain ones.
- Q: W22 in the cable on behalf of what
- Is the name of the vv22 it is armored copper core PVC insulated power cable V is PVC, VV said PVC insulated PVC sheathed, insulation and sheath is two different things, the jacket is the outermost layer of the cable, Insulation, mainly from the role of protection cable, the insulation layer is wrapped in the conductor outside the layer, mainly from the insulation. 22 means armored, armored between the sheath layer and the insulation between the strip, and its role is to strengthen the protection of the cable, at the same time, can prevent the mouse bite, can also be used as ground. The copper core is not shown in the letter in the model, because most cables are copper, so the copper cable basically takes its representation (indicated by T). On the contrary, if it is aluminum core cable, it will be added in the model L said aluminum core.
- Q: A network cable must cross a power cable. What can be done to minimize the amount of EMI?
- Metal shielding would be best. This could be as simple as wrapping each cable with aluminum foil near the cross-over point. Hope this helps.
- Q: can you use just one power (positive) cable cut it and use the rest for your negative
- In theory, yes you can do this provided a couple things. I know it seems a simple question, and you may be fine but for safety's sake.... Power cable is usually 10 gauge braided copper. this should cover just about any amp, but as the current draw is thru the ground, this cable is usually 8 gauge and a much shorter run. If you are running a ton of power with this amp, you may want to just splurge and get yourself a run of 8 gauge ground wire, find a good solid ground and for god sake use star washers between the spade connection and the ground to ensure a good solid connection. I have seen many installs fail because of that little detail. A 10 g cable is probably good enough but to get it up to standards use an 8 g.
- Q: as far as i know, the only cable that connects the hdd with my motherboard is the sata cable, is this the cable that will do both transfer data and also provide electricty? or do i need another cable to connect the hdd and to power supply? same for my sata dvd burner, thx!
- That all depends upon the present cable and the slots to which it is connected to.
- Q: I bought a TV and it requires 9 amps but it didn't include the cable. I have a 7 amp cable that fits, but I don't want to damage the TV. All the cables at stores around me don't fit well. Could I get away with just using this one for a couple days until the right one arrives in the mail? I can imagine that it wouldn't give me reliable power, but I don't really care about that, I just don't want to damage the power supply of the TV. Thanks in advance.
- You have a TV that draws 9 amps from a 117 v.a.c. power line? That's roughly a kilowatt. You could run three 55-inch LED sets for that, with power to spare. Or does your TV operate from a 12-volt d.c. source, like for a boat or RV? That would make more sense, 108 watts total. In that case, using the wrong power cable could be at least a theoretical hazard. I'd wait for the proper cable. If you'll update your post with the make and model of your TV and what you're powering it from, you might get a better answer. Your location would also help, at least which country due to different a.c. power systems. ----------------------- Followup, per your added details: now I get it--you have a power cord that's rated at 7 or 9 amps, not a TV that draws that much. That's entirely different. Your TV/DVD combo will use a maximum of about 150 watts, which means it will draw just a little over one amp. So any power cord you can find that fits properly and is rated at something like 3 amps or more will be fine.
