- Q: I've heard it can be done, but I sure don't want to make a quot;not too badquot; carpet any worse! I'm wanting to make a light carpet darker. Any suggestions?

- Q: How do I get the carpet joint?
- No fixed laying method: carpet cutting into a whole piece of adhesive joint, direct spreading on the ground, with the ground around the corner to trim the bond. This approach is suitable for the ground often rolled up the carpet or not often, weight room. Fixed: the carpet will be cut and bonded, into a seam, and around the floor of the room to be fixed. By using two kinds of methods: one is the carpet around the surface and the ground paste with binder or double-sided tape; the other is a wooden card with our upward nail in the room installed in the surrounding ground, the carpet back in a nail on a small wooden card.

- Wipe up all excess polish on the carpet, get some acetone or butyl alcohol at the hardware store put some an old washcloth (one that still has alot of 'nap' left) test it in an inconspicous area (inside a closet) to see if it harms the carpet. If the carpet is okay after drying, re-apply solvent to washcloth and wipe up the nail polish. You also might snip off a sample of the carpet fibers to take to a carpet store, maybe they may have a better idea how to clean that particular fiber. Acetone is basically nail polish remover that is cheaper by the gallon.

- Q: hello, im getting a horse soonshe is a 15.3hh 5year old mare irish type sorti live in eastern england so the weather is pretty changeable :/i was looking at some horse rugs and i found some i like i thought that i would get 6 (3 stable 3 turnouts)i was going to get a :12oz/340g filled turnout9oz/250g filled turnoutand a no fill turnout sheet.14oz/400g filled stable8oz/220g filled stableand a waffle/fleece stable do u think that would be ok? first time horse owner you see want to get it right :) do i need more or more heavy filled rugs??thanks xXp.s the horse will be out in the summer months and in at night out during the day in winter
- you should only really need a heavy turnout with full neck for very cold winter, a medium weight rug a light weight rug for when its just light raining a fleece or stable rug
- Q: one of my cats uses area rugs for a litterbox. I have a multi cat household , I use large shallow tubs for litter boxes and they are cleaned daily. I am only having problems with one cat
- Obviously, the throw rug seems more natural to the cat than a litter box does. Get a new litter box, and place it on the throw rug. Also, make sure it has a different type of litter in it. This can be clumping/non clumping, scented/non scented, shallow/deep, and the such. My uneducated guess is that your scat cat, is just wanting a place all it's own... ;) More litter boxes and scooping more than ONCE a day is necessary for this finicky cat. Hope this helps,

- You need 320 s/f butttttttt..... Carpet comes mainly in 12 and 15 foot wide so depending on how you room is laid out with its walking patterns etc is how its laid and seamed. Generaly a seam will be on the furthest wall away from all traffic. Again if your carpet comes 15 foot ( some do some only comes 12 foot wide) you ll you ll need extra carpet for a seam . You ll be scraping out some so you ll have to get more than 320 s/f GL
- Q: My carpet is going to kill me. This is southern texas, and there is always dust everywhere. How can I thoroughly clean the carpet? I really can't afford a big machine, and I borrowed my moms cheap one, and it did nothing. If I buy carpet cleaner, can I just scrub it with my tub scrub brush or something?
- I do not think you can ever thoroughly clean a carpet, regardless of your region. My suggestion is, use a high powered, vacuum, like a shopvac, with a carpet brush. This will suck as much dust out of the carpet as possible. Do not use an upright vacuum, or one with a moving brush, because this creates vibrations, which will just drive much of the dust between the carpet and under-pad, even between the under-pad and the floor. If the dust is really bothering you, consider pulling up the carpet. What is underneath? If there is a finish, great. If not, it probably is not that expensive to put down wood or tile. Then you can sweep and/or wash to get your floor the cleanest possible. I live in southern Ontario, in an ancient house, and just last year I pulled up the carpet in my front room. It revealed great-looking floorboards, and has made me feel so much better -- you would not believe the amount of dust and crap under the carpet and under-pad.
