Q: My cat runs away from the vacuum cleaner whether it is off or on. Why is that?
Some do, and some don't. Several of mine take off, and others simply watch. It most likely is a noise that is not common, and some cats have a hair trigger spook factor. The slightest change, and off they go. And if they see you moving the vacuum cleaner (even if off), they are smart enough to know where the noise comes from. For people who show cats in shows, they use a vacuum cleaner to determine if their cat will do all right being in a cat show. If the cat shows no concerns, then the hustle and bustle of a cat show will also not affect them.
Q: A) vacuum cleaners B) washing machines C) Refrigerators D) televisions
The Television. It was invented in 1929, but not sold until the Depression and WW2 ended.
Q: What's are some good ones that won't break in a year?? Should I go with an industrial strength one (although those are really costly).
I have a bissell. Probably bought between $20 to $40 at Walmart. It's not huge but not skinny either. I've used it for a year, and it still works great!
Q: I was thinking of getting one of those as seen on TV, I am an allergy sufferer and need the most efficient to get rid of the dust mites, bacteria etc..
nothing but a big mess. Where do you think the dirty water goes? Down the drain then it gets cloged up
Q: I mean, come on! What kinky person vacuums in the dark?
vacuums with headlights or for the tweekers
Q: I vacuumed a spider. Is it dead now or is there a possibility it will crawl right out?
If it hit something going into the dryer, it may be dead. Otherwise, you just sucked it up and it will probably come out, if it finds it's way thru the dirt and dust.
Q: does anyone own a refurbished Dyson vacuum cleaner? do they work well or break down within months?
Personally I would stay well away from ANY Dyson vacuum cleaner refurbished or not! I had one and it was the worst cleaner I've ever had. Dyson's 'no loss of suction' claim is just not true, it got easily clogged up and I was forever taking mine apart to get it to suck properly. There were so many bits of pipe you had to unclip to do this it was a real chore. It also had a sponge filter which would affect the suction when it had the smallest amount of dust in it. The motor went in mine after 2 years, it cost ?80 to replace but it never really worked properly afterwards. I threw it out eventually and bought a Henry which is really simple to use and sucks like a demon all the time.
Q: I HATE dysons and I don't mind buying bags my options r Oreck Pilot, Eureka airspeed Bagged, Hoover Windtunnel Bagged and Shark Navigato lift away pro I have 3 dogs English Bulldog which shed all year round, Boston Terrier, Chihuahua and don't recommend any other vacuum cleaners I just need to know which one is the best
Personally, I wouldn't go with any of your choices...I swear by Bissell. My recommendation to you is to google for customer reviews on each of your choices and see which one works the best from the ones that have them....(that's what I do). And I have 2 cats who shed...one is a huge white/grey long-haired Maine Coon.
Q: The cockpits of the planes, vacuum cleaners, home appliances, interior of the old cars literally everywhere
It's just a cultural illusion ie. the color 'blue' is popular in Russia<and many countries including the USA but you are just seeing its use in another cultural context. Russian airborne troops were called 'Blue Berets'. Early NKVD/Cheka forces in the early Stalin era wore blue berets... There's a blue/camo used by troops in Russia...BUT it's only noticable really because one is comparing one culture to another ie. why do US police wear dark blue? Why are there so many green uniforms and green berets? Look more closely into Russian things ie. there's a great variety of colors...but blue is a popular color! I hear RED has been popular too. LOL
Q: I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
Go to a store that sells and services vacuums and get a used version of an expensive one. It's like luxury cars. They depreciate really fast in the first few years but are still good for a lot longer. You can drive a Mercedes with all the advantages of one without paying the high price. Some of them last a long time. My Filter Queen, bought used in 1989, is still going strong and it must have vacuumed a truckload of dog hair since I got it. It has had a full service only once, after I used it to vacuum all the drywall dust from my new house.
