Q:We were looking to get a few rooms professionally cleaned in our home. However, what is the biggest diff btw. Chem-dry places and regular companies, like COIT or Stanley Steemer. We know the thing about no liquid/water, but does that make a diffference? Anything else? Because the cost between the 2 is quite a bit, so we were wondering if it makes up for it. Thanks!
I had my carpets professionaly cleaned (with water) and they looked no better than when I did them myself with my household steamer, or rental unit's in the past.
Q:My son is obsessed with the vacuum cleaner. Every time we go to a store, be it walmart, samsclub, target, home depot or best buy, we have to go to the vacuum cleaner isle. He wants to watch other kids vacuuming on youtube. He wants us to draw vacuums on his magna doodle. He's memorized all the brands of vacuum cleaners. Is this HEALTHY??? Any of you in the same situation? What are your kids obsessed with? PS: lately his interests have expanded to the lawn mowers, lawn tractors, power drills and his father's tool set BUT the vacuum cleaner still remains his all time favorite obsession.
Well he must be really interested in motors or motor works and such. It's perfectly normal; everyone has a thing that they like. Whether it be vacuums or pencils. There's nothing wrong with this at all.
Q:I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
Go to a store that sells and services vacuums and get a used version of an expensive one. It's like luxury cars. They depreciate really fast in the first few years but are still good for a lot longer. You can drive a Mercedes with all the advantages of one without paying the high price. Some of them last a long time. My Filter Queen, bought used in 1989, is still going strong and it must have vacuumed a truckload of dog hair since I got it. It has had a full service only once, after I used it to vacuum all the drywall dust from my new house.
Q:I’ve bought John out of vacuum cleaners.
I bought all of John's vacuum cleaners.
Q:Or any type of love theme? I'm trying to be a practical while at the same time being very romantic.
I love when they ask for romantic gifts to use in the bedroom!
Q:Please mention if you own one or have owned one in your answer.
You can see comments like these: Does an excellent job of cleaning. Easy to program and maintain. So nice to come home each day to a freshly vacuumed home - just like having a maid. I love this! We have dogs and cats, so pet hair is a continual problem. Use of the Roomba has helped keep my house looking good daily. (You still have to vacuum some areas where it can't reach, under the bar stools, etc.) I wish I would have bought this years ago! I was skeptical, but desperate to keep up with a shedding puppy. After 2 months of use, I'm very pleased with my Roomba (nicknamed Putzfrau, German for cleaning lady). It does an amazing job even with LOTS of dog hair. I clean it after every use, which takes only a few seconds. It works equally well on hardwood and carpeted areas. It doesn't do as well with the door mats, but does get around furniture and over area rugs. I highly recommend it - a huge time saver. The bottom line is that most people really are impressed with Roomba vacuum cleaners.
Q:If my son is going to push a toy vaccuum around the house, why couldn't it be actually cleaning?
Junior Hoover Upright Vacuum Backyard Safari Bug Vacuum
Q:So I have heard tales of cats or dogs getting eviscerated(gutted) by a vacuum cleaner. Now personally I do not believe this, I am just wondering if there is any science or knowledge to back this legend up.
No, I doubt it would even suck in the smallest cat or dog. Maybe an insect, but NO, not a cat OR dog. Dogs and cats sometimes dislike vacuum cleaners. Please do not do this if you do it. If you do, you are absolutely cruel to animals. Just saying. Hope this helps.
Q:I am apparently having some media trust issues--commercials are DESIGNED to get us to Buy their products, and the company , if called up on will say the BEST things...so I depend on consumer experience to decide upon a number of items! I interviewed at least a dozen folks when looking for my car, at grocery lots and gas pumps, and when 100% were thrilled with their automobile, that did it for me and what the salesman said was just confirmed by my own research.Over the years I have had a dozen electric floor sweepers, and none of them have been the 'cat's pajamasquot;! So, has anyone actually HAD a Dyson, ball rolling mechanism cleaner and if so, has it justified it's $400.00 dollar price tag in your estimation? How as the suction performed and has it stayed reliable? Any details will be helpful! Thanks!
As a person who cleans for a living I have used the dyson though it wasn't the ball roller. I found the machine to have strong consistent suction and good mobility but the thing I really loved about it was the head, it was so maneuverable it got under the lowest bits of furniture and into the tightest most awkward spaces. The one I used was also a breeze to pack away everything wrapped around the vacuum or hung in it's own little place on the actual vacuum. I highly recommend a dyson!
Q:Does small industrial vacuum cleaners work perfectly ?
Effective vacuuming can not only extend the life of carpet but also help to reduce dust, allergens and other issues related to carpeted areas. There are four types of vacuums: upright, tank, back pack, and specialty. The type machine you need will be determined by the type and amount of carpeting on your site. Another key factor will be degree of obstruction. In other words, how much stuff is in the building you are trying to clean.
