FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q:self stick floor tile, vapor barrier
- Staple the Luan over the tile make sure you use alot of staples to make sure your floor doesn't give at all and use liquid nails adhesive to help hold the Luan down. Also make sure no staples are sticking up because that would damage the floor tile. Then use a primer to paint on the luan to help the adhesive stick. I would also reccomend using addional adhesive. The adhesive on the back of the tile doesn't hold up very well. Spread vinyl floor tile adhesive over the floor and once it is tacky put your floor down. Make sure to let the floor acclimate to the room at least 48 hrs before installation. After you lay the floor it needs to be rolled with a 100lb. roller.
- Q:You are tiling a room with 1 foot squares tiles. The room is 11 feet 8 in wide and 15 ft 8 in long. How many whole tiles will you need? How many tiles will need to be cut? Each box of tiles covers 10 square feet. How many boxes of tiles will you need?
- Because the remainder on each side is more than half a foot (8 inches > 6 inches), you will not be able to use the leftovers from cutting one tile to fill the spot for the next tile. We round both dimensions up to the next foot and get 12 feet by 16 feet. This tells us we need 192 total tiles. We will have to cut 16 tiles along one side, and 12 tiles along the other. One cut tile is shared between the two sides, so we're really only cutting 16 + 12 - 1 = 27 tiles. So: 192 - 27 = 165 whole tiles (which we can also see by rounding the dimensions down to 11 by 15 and multiplying). 27 cut tiles. It will take us 19.2 boxes to get 192 tiles, so we round up to 20 boxes.
- Q:I was quoted $5.75 for tile install and $2.25 for concrete board per square foot.
- You would have to get quotes from several tile layers. Once you have their quotes, it would be up to you to select the tile layer that either offered you the most economical rate, the one you feel comfortable with. You might consider a handyman. In this scenario you would purchase the tile and your handyman would lay the tile. You handyman would be a lot cheaper than a contractor. Whom ever you decide to select, your best option is to get a referral from a friend, relative or co-worker. This person has performed some work for your friend,s relatives or co-workers and was pleased. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
- Q:I‘m installing a kitchen back splash of 1 x 1 glass tile. Right now there is drywall where the tile will be. I‘ve read that it is better to use cement backing board as a substrate. Is this really necessary or can I just use thin-set to mount the tile directly to the drywall and then grout as usual? Thanks for your help!
- Dry wall is fine and you might want to use a mastic so they don t slide.. Proper setting of the tile is important.. I gently beat the tile in w/ my grout float while I m setting them.. Full coverage is also a must since you can sometimes see thru some glass tiles..I ve never had a problem with this though..
- Q:Is there any one who have knowledge about Ceremic tiles? plz suggest me.
- What okorder / We have professional tile fixers, tile distributors, technical advisors and more, to answer whatever questions you might have.
- Q:How to completely remove the double-sided adhesive on the tile?
- In addition, you can also use the heating method to double-sided adhesive glue softening: blowing with a hair dryer to soften the glue, when the double-sided adhesive adhesion becomes weak, you can easily remove. If there is a little traces, with the removal of nail polish to light water to wipe. Finally, in the clear time, whether it is to use to light water or vinegar, be sure to make these supplies completely wet double-sided adhesive marks, can be easily and effectively removed Oh! If the conditional alcohol + eraser effect is very good
- Q:We are about to install 450 sq ft of 18x18 inch travertine tile on an indoor concrete floor and I need as much information about the installation process as possible. I have done a number of ceramic tile jobs, but never laid travertine. Some of the questions I have are:1. is it best to use spacers and grout, or butt the tiles?2. if I use spacers, what size should I use?3. should I apply a coat of sealer to the tiles before laying them?4. what size notched trowel should I use and at what angle?5. how many coats of sealer, brand and type of finish is recommended?6. I read somewhere that it is not recommended laying travertine straight, but in a Versailles pattern. Any one have any idea what this is?Does anyone have any more advice on laying this type of tile. Any advice will be deeply appreciated. Don
- Installing travertine is not an easy task but it is definitely worth all the effort. It is perfect for floor tiles and travertine pool coping is perfect as well! The thing that you have to do is to speak with a professional about it.
- Q:I‘m installing new tile in my bathroom and had a few questions.1. I understand that I‘m supposed to remove the toilet prior to laying the tile. So I remove the toilet, lay new tile, and then put the toilet on top of the tile? Does this mean that the toilet will sit on the tile? If so, won‘t there be a very little gap where the tile and toilet meet? Are you supposed to seal this gap? Or, do you cut the tile around the shape of the bottom of the toilet and tile around it?2. Same question with the vanity. I‘m replacing my old vanity. Do I have to remove the old vanity, lay tile in the whole area where the old vanity was, and then install the new vanity on top of the tile? Again, what about the small gap? Does it need to be sealed? What do you seal it with?3. How do you remove the old vanity? Do you simply disconnect the plumbing, remove the screws holding it to the wall, and pry it from the wall?Any comments, suggestions, or advice are appreciated.
- I should point out, that it is not recommended to caulk around the base of the toilet. this is because, if the wax seal were ever to start leaking, the caulk would contain it under the toilet and you would never know it was leaking until the floor rotted and you and the toilet fall through into the living room. No body wants to see that!!
- Q:is there another way to cut tiles ?i dont have a tile cutter , thanks
- Your best bet then is to do the measurements yourself and go to a store (even homedepo or Lowes) and have them cut it. They will most likely cut it with some type of wet saw, keeps the edges from chipping.
- Q:I now want to match the tile and extend it into my living room and dining area. How would I go about finding the same tile?
- Can you contact the company that laid the tile? Do you remember how you picked it out? Catalogue, Store? Even if you find the name, it might not be a perfect match after all this time. I do my own tiling and I always buy extra in case of repairs later. Storing them in the original box gives you the Manufacturer and style #. The tile contractor should have done this as he has no need for any extra tile left over.
