Application of Our Glazed Porcelain Tile:

Application of Glazed tile

Q: What is transparent tiles
Fashionable, bright ice crack, high density, high hardness, good flatness, covered with the line after the neat, smooth and beautiful, non-general market compared to ordinary tiles.
Q: The existing ceramic tiles on the floor run up to the cabinets and appliances. Should I lay the floor first and then the cabinets or the cabinets first?
you would want to lay your tile floor first. your base cabinets are 21inches to the toekick so measure off the wall about 18inches do not tile the 18inches saves tile and easier to install cabinets if you have to cut the bottom of the cabinet. as far as your appliances are conserned, tile the fridge to the wall and stove and dishwasher only one tile under it. you wont see past the tile and you put plywood the rest of the way. easier to install your stoves' anti tip into the wood rather than tile. your dishwasher will slide right into place and would be easy to take out if you have to repair it.
Q: I have a few small pits (about 1/16 in diameter, very shallow into the tile) that have developed in some old ceramic tile in my foyer (it may be from some salt that was tracked into the foyer over the winter). Is there a good way to repair it?
I would try 'tile and grout sealer. These products are easy to apply and once dried are very hard. Go to your home supply store and look at a few different types and see what would work best for you application. Most people don't understand that tile needs to be sealed and re-sealed every year or two, especially in high traffic areas and where there will be a lot of dirt or water track across them.
Q: Is $4 a square foot a good price for labor? How about $1.49 for each 20x20 porcelein tile? Those are my quotes and want to see if I should do it. In Texas and they told me it will include taking out old carpet and laying down tile plus grout.
It sounds reasonable enough. ASk about sealing the tile, as well! Up here, in Canada, I usually recommend a waterproof membrane be laid before the tile. This prevents water and moisture from seeping through the tile and froming mold and mildew on the subfloor. Even the best sealed tile may have a tendancy to allow moisture to wick through and attack the subfloor. BUT...that's just me! I like to do the best job possible!! You may even want to consider underfloor electric heat. Now is the perfect time to do this. At any rate, to just rip out the carpet, prep the subfloor, and tile with Porcelain tile, I think you have a pretty fair price, there.
Q: 80 by 80 tiles a box of 3 pieces equal to how many squares?
0.8 * 0.8 * 3 = 1.92m2 material calculation should not be used on the edge material included, so that the second purchase of color is not on.
Q: I went to the Home Depot website and for instance, baking stones are like $25 each. I heard that some flooring tiles do the same job, though some of the types (like terracota) can expel some poisonous gases when heated; also, that I should avoid enameled tiles or anything with coating.Should I get a baking stone instead?Thank you.
Unglazed quarry tile is what is recommended for baking on. That's all you need to know. Don't use any other kind in the oven. You could look around for a cheaper baking stone. Try Wal-mart.
Q: i have these ugly light blue ceramic tiles in my kitchen (as a backsplash)..they are fairly big squares ... and the owner before me tried to paint the grout between them because the paint (or whatever it was) is coming off so now the grout is gross dark grey coming through...anyways...i was wondering if anyone had some easy ideas to cover up the ceramic tiles.
I recommend removing the tiles as well. Re-tiling is pretty easy, just takes some time. They now make tile paint and the old tiles could be painted. Or you can get a sheet of that new plastic bathroom paneling, cut it to fit and use some liquid nails to glue it to the wall. As another person said you could use thin luan plywood and cover it - you could even wallpaper the board before you put it up.
Q: i want to tile my house, i also want to pay less than a dollar per square foot for the materials. on top of that i want 16 tile... i know these deal exhist but i dont know where to look... please help
My okorder and state what you are looking for. You will most likely get an overwhelming response. Other than that, I would go to my nearest big flooring chain and ask to speak to one of the installers. Chances are you will run into one that has his own inventory and be more than happy to sell it to you.
Q: I have a couple of tiles that have fell off and need to be put back on, what type glue do you apply to make them stick. They fell off due to foundation problems which is now fixed.
Depends on the surface that you are attaching to, and what type of tiles you are applying. Use the adhesive sold at the hardware store that is made for that type of tile.
Q: I am building a deck outside my living room am#92;nd the dimensions are 8‘ wide by 24‘ long.It is 14‘ up at the highest point as I am on a hill. I‘m using 2 by 6 joists with 2 by 12 headers. Here is what I want to do: someone told me to use a 1/4 in slope over 8 ft. for water run off. I want to tile the deck. Iwant to know what size plywood I should use and if there is some kind of waterproof fibreboard I can use as a base for the tile in lieu of laying down rubber for the base. I dont want sand or pitch due to the weight factor. Is there something fairly lightweight and waterproof suitable for a base for the tile? If so what is it called? and where can i get it? Thanks.
cement board or treated exterior plywood
