Q: Hi, I bought a devco fireworks cake, never shot one before. It comes packages with a think plastic covering the whole thing, however the fuse can be accessed by lifting a little tab.Obviously seems easy enough, but I'm wondering about the transparent plastic covering on top... seems that will stop the rockets from firing up no?
You can remove it or leave it, it's up to you. It will not effect the performance of the cake however the fireworks will tear it into little plastic pieces that will be all over the place. I like to remove the plastic/paper on the tops of fireworks cakes to reduce the amount of mess during cleanup.
Q: I got a new tripod for my camera recently and would like to convert my old one into something resembling a nightstand or tv tray; I was thinking of using a board or flat surface with a nut or something similar attached to the bottom that would be the right thread size to screw onto the tripod. The idea would be to have a platform/tabletop surface that could have its height easily adjusted up and down; I know they make things like these, but I'd rather not pay $85.00 for a 15 inch piece of plastic that's ready-made to screw on to tripods (like this: http://amzn.to/9k4i2N) or $150.00+ for an adjustable end table (like this: http://amzn.to/a6UExN) when I can probably make something very similar myself for less than 5 bucks with the right equipment. problem is, I'm not very handy with this type of stuff and don't really know how to go about attaching a threaded hole to a board or what type of threaded hole I should even be looking for. I figure it can't be that hard, though. Any help?
I've made specialty 'adapters' for several tripods to correct lens focal length (in virtual tour productions), by making a slim molding from wood, that mimics the profile of the camera 'wedge' that locks down on the tripod. The wedge can be screwed into whatever 'shelf' material you want from there. That top is then removable, but still fairly secure, provided you don't overload it. Mine was easy with the table saw (for the angles), but perhaps you could make one with a hand saw? Good luck.
Q: What's the arc plastic board on the wheel?
According to the installation position can be divided into a front wing and rear wing and front fender mounted on the front, must ensure that the rotation of the front wheel and beating the maximum limit space, so the designer will be selected according to the type of tyre size "wheel bounce map" to verify the design size of the wing is appropriate.
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to cracking?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to cracking.
Q: Are plastic sheets suitable for outdoor furniture?
Yes, plastic sheets are often suitable for outdoor furniture as they are weather-resistant, lightweight, and easy to clean.
Q: How do plastic sheets compare to ABS sheets?
Plastic sheets and ABS sheets differ in terms of material composition and properties. ABS sheets are a specific type of plastic sheet made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, while plastic sheets refer to a broader category of sheets made from various types of plastics. ABS sheets are known for their high impact resistance, strength, and rigidity, making them suitable for applications that require durability, such as automotive parts and appliances. Plastic sheets, on the other hand, can vary in their properties depending on the specific type of plastic used. They can have different levels of flexibility, transparency, chemical resistance, and thermal stability. Therefore, the comparison between plastic sheets and ABS sheets largely depends on the specific requirements of the intended application.
Q: What is the purpose of using plastic sheets?
The purpose of using plastic sheets is to provide a protective barrier, insulation, or containment for various purposes, such as covering surfaces, protecting from weather elements, preventing dust or debris accumulation, or creating barriers for safety or privacy.
Q: What are the kinds of plastic sheets and the use of plastic sheets?
Polypropylene plastic board (PP plastic board)Purpose: acid equipment, environmental protection equipment, waste water, exhaust equipment, washing tower, clean room, equipment and related industrial semiconductor factory, is the preferred material for manufacturing plastic water tank, which is widely used in PP thick sheet stamping plate, punch plate etc..
Q: In my 8th grade art class my teacher had us do a project that involved contrast. We had to use this type of paper and cut out parts of the white so that the black would show through and there would be contrast between the full white and full black areas. I can't remember the name of it and would like to get some for hobby purposes. It was a black sheet of something that was sort of plastic-like and was somewhat reflexive. Then directly on top of that was a sheet of normal paper stuck to the black sheet. If anyone could tell me the name of this paper that would be great. Also if there are any common stores that I could get it at. Maybe Michaels?
Maybe its carbon paper
Q: i'm trying to decide which rainsuit to buy and i can't figure out what the difference is between the 2, I just don't see how 10mm or 20mm is right, i don't see a rainsuit being made out of 1cm or 2cm thick plactic.
yup, sounds like an error... you sure there's not a decimal point somewhere? I would assume 1.0 or 2.0 mm. Are you sure it's not being measured in mils which is one-thousandth of an inch 0.001 20 mils = 0.020 inches = 0.5 mm I looked at the links.... they probably forgot a decimal point
