Q: Does anyone know anything about Indo Bijar rugs. I bought a 6x9 Indo Bijar rug today for next to nothing and am curious about its value. It has a tag on it from a profesional rug repair shop in Dallas ( the tag just says indo bijar 6x9 clean and replace fringe) It's in great shape and was hoping to resell at our yardsale but not sure about the value. I found two similar rugs on Craigs list, one was $4,000 and the other was for $600.: Bijar Rugs

Q: I was smoking hookah with some of my friends, and we tipped it over. It burned a pretty large piece of my carpet (8quot;x8quot;). It's regular white carpet, not berber. How much might this cost to patch/repair. Should I do it myself?: You will the cost of buying carpets.

Q: We just bought a house and the master bedroom has wool carpet in it and I just wanted to know how to clean it!!: Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.

Q: i have a old rug its a shaggy type rug that i got when my great grandfather passed away and im not sure what year its from all i know is that its way over 20 years because he had it when i was born, and it was old then. i want to know what i can get to clean it with out it messing it up, right before he passed away he had put it in a box out in his barn and it smells its not really dirty it just smells and i've tried many things and all they do is just cover up the smell for a little while, if anyone know how i could get it cleaned please let me know, thanks: I would phone a professional carpet cleaner. Some of them come and pick up your carpet and bring it back afterwards.

Once the carpet doesn't work, it will be troublesome to clean the glue. The better thing is to use double glue to prick the top, so that it can be reused.

Q: Only rug like this I own, a hand off from a relative in a pattern I love, but it needed cleaning, so I bought a can of Resolve and followed the directions TO THE LETTER, practically sprained my back on it, and when it was dry and vacuumed within an inch of its life, it looked EXACTLY the way it did before I started. Complained to the company and they sent me coupons to buy more of the stuff I said didn't work -- why do they do that? You need to go to a carpet store and look at samples to get a price. There is a huge store near the square on 41. EDIT - Since you need a small carpet, ask to see their remnant room. You might find just what you need at a fraction of the cost.

Q: How to totally remove dog hair on the carpet?: Adhensive tape, adhensive cylinder and cleaners all can remove dog hair.

Q: I have rented the rug doctor before and have been satisfied w/ the results. I am in an apartment and not willing to pay for more. It works great for the $20 rental. However, the get you on the shampoo, anit-foam, ect. Does anyone have a cheaper alternative? By the time I get all this, its not so cheap anymore. Is there even possibly something organic I can make or get cheap? I am having a baby in 3 months and do not want the linger of chemicals in the carpet.: I use the cheaper shampoos from Lowe's or Home Depot. Have also used Tide with color bleach. Works great.
