- Q: Three parallel wires are each carrying a 4A current. ; wire A) is 6 mm from wire B) which is 3mm from wire C); The current in wires B and C are out of the paper, while A is into the paper. What is the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field halfway between wires A and B?I have tried using Biot-Savart Law but keep getting it wrong can someone please help? I also have an equation for two parallel wires but how do I relate it to two?
- SO YOU HAVE TWO POINTS ON PAPER HAVING DISTANCE 2d. megnetic field zero will be on the mid point of this line. (there will be many points where the megnetic field will be zero but THERE IS ONLY ONE POINT ON PAPER)
- Q: Connecting a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD to a 2008 Kia Sorento. I have connected the wire harness to the back of the stereo by matching each color. My issue is I have 2 wires left on each side.I have a blue wire on the wire harness, and on the stereo side I have a blue/white wire that says system remote start. Do these 2 need to go together, even though they are different color scheme, yet both are blue?Same thing with the orange wire on the harness, and I have an orange/white on the stereo, do these two need to be connected?Thanks!
- the orange wire on the radio is for power antenna unless u have a antenna that automaticly goes up and down u dont need it and the blue 1 on the radio is for a amp unless u have a amp u dont need it either the orange on the harness is most likey the power antenna so u can install with if u dont already have 1 and the blue idk i would have to look at it that ant how my radio wired up but i have a JVC lol but i do know all those radios are the same just it at radio shack u will see plus ur tell meh that im wrong when i can and do have a car radio wired in my house
- Q: OK - I removed my old light switch and can see that there are only 2 wires coming out of the wall to be found - 1 white and 1 black. There are absolutely no other wires that I can see back there. The dimmer switch has 2 black wires and 1 green. I'm really not sure what to do. I tried to connect the 2 black ones to the black one and the green wire to the white wire. I admit this wasn't the smartest thing, but thought I'd try. Got nothing. Any help is super appreciated.
- If the 2 wires you refer to ( 1 black 1 white) were connected to the switch you took out , then attach 1 black wire from the dimmer to the black wire in the box and 1 black wire from the dimmer to the white wire in the box. The green wire is always ground and should be attached to either the metal box or if it is a plastic box to the bare wires in the box. If you just have those 2 wires in the electrical box it is known as a switch loop. If it is wired properly the power is coming in on the white wire. and when it is switched to the black wire it sends power to your light. Make your connections using wire nuts. No tape is necessary when it is done correctly. Tape is only used to insulate. Good luck.
- Q: My dog chewed the wiring and i dont know how to re-connect
- Lets see, if your dog chewed the wires, he probably did it right at the valves. Here's what you do (depending on how many valves you have) 1. Each valve solenoid has 2 wires coming out of it. Grab one (of the 2- it doesn't matter which) wire from each valve and twist them together. Call this the COMMON wire (usually white). 2. Go to the clock/timer/controller and look to see where the wires are connected. Check to see which color wire is deginated as the COMMON wire (or doesn't have a station number designation) 3. Once you find out which wie is the common, go back to the valves and twist this wire onto your BUNDLE with a wire nut. 4. Connect the remaining wires at each valve to any corresponding wire (on the other end). Make sure that you eventually solidify these connections with waterproof wire connectors. 5. Check the stations at the clock, running individual stations and making sure the correct run-times correspond to the valve assignments- adjust or flip wires at the clock instead of switching wires at the valves.
- Q: I just bought a new JVC CD player well my dad and I are trying to hook it all up, we went to auto zone and got all the parts we need, wiring harness and faceplate kit. We got all the wires stripped and hooked to the right ones except when we plug it in there is no sound CD player works just no sound. There is an extra little clip that has 4 extra wires that need to be hooked up and we KNOW that's what the problem is. If anyone knows where these wires belong please let me know or if you know where i can get a FREE wiring diagram that would be great!! Thank you!!
- If one of the 4 wires is pink, connect it to the blue/white wire from the JVC head unit and see if that helps. (The blue wire in the main harness should also be connected to the blue/white JVC wire).
- Q: ok so i have 3 questions.i have an oldsmobile cuttlas supreme and i have a 0 gauge power wire that is 17 feet is that long enough???? and i have 0 gauge ground that is 17 feet is that long enough....and about the speaker wire..i have 8 gauge speaker wire that is 25 feet..is this a good setup.make sure u answer all these questions please thank you..
- the 17 ft of power wire is going to be fine. Just make sure you install an inline fuse by the battery. The 17ft of ground wire is a little bit too much, but you can cut that down. Make sure you ground the amp as close as possible so the voltage drop is minimal. The 8 guage speaker wire is way too high a gauge for speaker wire. You would be fine with 12, 14, or 16 gauge. The length needed depends on what speakers you plan to wire up. If its just subs then I would say thats more than enough. If you're powering components, you will need much more, probable close to 100. Overall it should be a good setup though.
- Q: Two steel wires are stretched with the same tension. The first wire has a diameter of 6.00E-4 m and the second wire has a diameter of 8.90E-4 m. If the speed of waves traveling along the first wire is 53.2 m/s, what is the speed of waves traveling along the second wire?
- Wave velocity v = √(T/μ) Same tension in both wires: T1 = T2 μ is the linear mass density v1 = 53.2 m/s v2 = ? = v1/v2 = √(T1/μ1) / √(T2/μ2) = √(T1μ2 / T2μ1) = √(T1/T2 * μ2/μ1) = √(μ2/μ1) Linear mass density is mass/length, mass is density*volume: m/L = ρV/L = ρAL/L = ρA = ρπr^2 Both wires are steel so their density is the same. == v1/v2 = √(μ2/μ1) = √(ρπr2^2 / ρπr1^2) = √(r2^2 / r1^2) = r2/r1 == v2 = v1r1/r2 = (53.2*3.00×10^-4) / 4.45×10^-4 = 35.9 m/s ---- Speed of waves along the second wire is 35.9 m/s
- Q: When you buy new earbuds/headphones there are usually two wires connected by a thin piece of rubber.Is it ok to split the two wires that are joined together when you buy them? Im wondering because i need the extra length.
- there's a rubber cloth that shrinks once you warmth it up. yet you've got the means to slide the cord via a tube of the stuff. Then use a cigarette lighter to warmth it up. Ask in radio shack. or you may desire to easily wrap the cord in electric tape and use a cigarette lighter to gently soften the tape, it works, no longer nicely, even although that is going to never pull back up.
- Q: could someone teach or explain to me how to hook up the 1st one, i do not understand what is happening there. How do you connect thoes wires to the main wire??? the distribution?
- Ok, first thing you want to do is, for each subwoofer, wire a negative and positive together. You can use regular speaker wire to do that (well you're supposed to anyway). After that, you will have a negative and positive terminal left on each subwoofer. What you need to do is run a speaker wire from each of the terminals, so you have 6 different wires from 6 separate terminals. Make note of the 3 positive wires and the 3 negative wires. Now what you do is simply twist together the 3 positive wires together, so you have 1 positive wire. Connect that positive wire to the positive terminal of the amp (if it's a 1 channel amp. If it's a 2 channel, connect it to a bridged channel on the positive terminal. Or however you want.) Do the same for the 3 negative wires. Twist them together to have 1 negative wire, and connect it to the negative terminal on the amp. Finished! That kind of wiring is called Series wiring, by the way. The other kind is called Parallel wiring.
- Q: Need ro know where to put the wires correctly
