Q: The spark plug wire on my dirt bike needs to be replaced because it was touching the exhaust and it burned through.I was wondering if the ignition coil and spark plug wire are one piece and need to both be replaced or is there someway to disconnect spark plug wire? They spark plug wire doesn't seem to be pluged in, but it seems to be one piece. Does anyone know?: Many small coils on dirt bikes, small engines and scooters have the spark plug wire pressed and glued into coil- usually replace coil and wire together as plug wire basicly not replacable in field.. Aftermarket coils can be used with seperate wire or maybe use a car coil from VW beetle type or in couiple cases i know plain Ford patterns. BMW /5 had 2 Bosch coils with replaceable wires- what kind of bike you working with. Clamp car coil to front frame, run extended wire loom to coil, use metal core spark plug wire and marine plug cap- used to be common or 2 stroke racers. In emergency you can cut wire cored wires and splice in another piece, tape it up .

Q: i have a 92 saturn and bought the wire harness, i put all the wires together and all that turned on was the theft light that comes on when you take off the face after that i tried putting the red and yellow wires together and it worked, just without the key having to be in the ignition and i think that is why the stereo gets so hot so can youall tell me how to wire it correctly?: The red is the main power or acc power that comes on when car key is turned. The yeallow is for the memory for radio. Another word when u store a preset radio station that yellow wire supplies continues power to store mem for ever or untill u have to change batt. The reason y it worked when u hooked yellow and red to gether is they where both getting power. If one dosent get power it will no work. Check radio fuses for the yellow wire to see if it out. If u have manuel to car that would help. I had a mustang that with the yellow wire was dead i traced the wire tried to find the prob but could not. I ran a wire from batt to radio where the yellow wire hooked up. That is the same thing just try to keep the wire away from hot areas and door jams try to runn it through the firewall of the car.

Q: I got molds done a while back for my finishing wires on my braces. I'm getting them Tuesday, but I'm not really sure what the difference is between finishing wires and the wires I have now. And, would you recommend the wire retainers, or the clear ones? Why? Thanks in advance!: Finishing wires are for the final stage of braces. They are pretty strong wires that snap tightly into your brackets so the orthodontist can finely control the teeth and line everything up nicely. I can't say how long until you get your braces off...that's kind of a case by case basis. Typically the wire retainers are better than the clear ones from a hygiene perspective. They can also be adjusted unlike the plastic ones.

Q: Hey there, so my cat chewed through some of my wires, what should I do to like fix them?: I am assuming the wires your talking about are the cords for appliances, lamps or what have you. And the type that you have to plug into your wall. You can as another post mentioned wrap the wire with black electrical tape if both side of the wire arn't touching. Or you can go to your local ACE hardware store and a floor associate would be more than happy to show you the items available for repairing or replacing the chewed wires. One of my cats started doing the same thing so I gathered the excess wire and tied it into a small bundle with a wire tie and the cat quit chewing them.
