- Q: Just got a used sleeper sofa, want change the look of it. It has two fixed cushionsin the front and I want to know how to take them off so I can put other fabric on them. any ideas please or a good book for this answer.Thank U
- You can't take off fixed cushions because, by definition, they are fixed in place. What you might try is getting a used sofa without fixed cushions. That way you can remove the cushions and re-upholster them before you resell it and go back to your sofa without fixed cushions.

- Well this is all about training your dog. You should get a collar that has teeth in it. What this collar does it gives the dog a bite like his or her mother. get a leash and show the dog where you want it to lay a pillow or dog bed. This is where he or she can be all the time when you want it to be there. Show the dog were this is. Only tell the dog once to lay there every time the dog gets up without your permission put the dog back and tug on the leash so the collar bites the dog. Don't tell the dog they know what you want they are just testing you as dogs like to be the leader and you must show the dog you are the boss not them. The collar doesn't hurt them just shows them you are the leader of the pack. You need to make sure every one in the house does the same. Doing this repeated the excat same way everyday the dog will soon do it on comand.

- Ask a furniture salesperson for a curved wedge sectional sofa. Most sectionals are made from a sofa with 2 arms and a sofa with one arm and they fit together in a corner. What you want a sectional that is two sofas with arms only on the opposite sides and a curved wedge to join them. This is not hard to find in cloth or leather. It is my preference because no one wants to sit in the square corner but someone will sit in the curve. Good choice. Consider a suede microfiber with a texture if leather is too expensive. It will wear well, won't stain. Get a leather that does not scratch with your fingernail.

- There are many things that go into affect in a leather sofa or sofa. 1. Construction- 5/4 thick solid oak or maple hardwood frame is the industry premium. All interior joints of the frame will be glued screwed and corner blocked. This is for extra reinforcement. The spring construction is very important and its gauge (meaning desity of metal) The bests spring construction is a coil spring like eight way hand tied or any other coil spring system. Note some coil springs have low wire gauge get what you pay for. No sag or sinous spring is also used and will do good as along as the gauge is good and frame is sturdy. Feel the frame and around for sturdness. 2. Leather quality. Alot of companies might use a cheaper leather or not a true leather. Top grain is the only way to go. Top grain needs to be at least on the seat, back and arms of the sofa. A company can use split leather on the side and back cause it will not be used, but it will wear evenly. 3. Why did your friends leather fade. Well did they take care of it? Was it a naturally characteristic of the leather? Remember you buy leather shoes and purses they too can fade. 4 Who is the manufacture and 1200 seems really affordable for a leather sofa. Remember a pair of leather boots can cost $300 dollars and a leather sofa has 10 times more stitching, padding and leather so 1200 is not very expensive.
