Q:In sims bustin out people are always saying in order to get married you need a love rug. I look at everything in buy/build mode. Do you have to unlock? Can someone please tell me where to find the love rug?: You do not need to buy a rug in order to get married. There is a bear skin rug in buy mode / decorative that you can relax on and make-out. To get married in Bust Out mode, you just need to be in good relationship and in love with someone from the Tootie or Frootie household. Then you can just ask them to marry you. If they are hungry, need to pee, etc. they may refuse. If you are in Freeplay mode, 2 adult sims already in the same household cannot get married, but you can ask sims in a different house to marry you if there are 3 or fewer sims in the household already. Freeplay has a 4 sims per house limit.

Sounds weird but back in the 70's when shag rug was in, raking was introduced to the carpets. If you rake it, it combs the direction of the carpet, but also pulls materials in from deep within the carpet. If this doesn't work...try a lint brush with teeth. Not a roller that picks up sticky stuff.

Q:Is professionally cleaning a FILTHY carpet enough or should it just be replaced?I am moving into a house with a FILTHY carpet. Truly disgusting, just nasty. The house stinks bad because of it. The landlord says he will get it professionally cleaned. I would rather have all the carpet taken out and replaced...or some other flooring put in. Is professionally cleaning a carpet that great of an idea? Does it only get the top surface clean..or does it clean deep down?: If the carpet never cleaned in years it's better to replace it, odors may come from the pad under the carpet even after clean the carpet. Also check the floor under the carpet.

We need something that will keep it from wrinkling every time someone walks on it. Is there a product (besides duct tape) that will do this?: You mentioned you have a pad. Is it a pad specifically made for a rug going over a carpet. If not that might be the problem. Rug to Rug hold pad is best. It is a thin pad that has a tackiness on both sides. It will not hurt your exisiting carpet, and will hold your rugs in place. It take a few days to get the pad to settle into its memory to hold your rug. A rug to rug hold pad will sometimes lose it tackiness to hold a rug in place, however if you can wash it usually that tackiness comes back. Don't put it in the dryer. The rug to rug hold pad sort of feels like post-a-note tackiness. Usually this type of pad can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's and most rug stores will carry a variety of pads. If all else fails you can use double-sided tape, not duct tape.

Q:I have a rug in my inside hallway. I'm wondering how I should wash in washing machine? It's a tight knit rug like berber.: I always wash my bathroom and entry rugs in the washer with a little detergent on the delicate cycle. I do dry them on the no heat setting. If your rug has a rubber backing it may come off and get in your washer. Usually doesn't happen the first time, but if you wash it often it probably will. No biggie though, just wash a load of towels after or just run a rinse cycle with nothing in it. Should help. Then you may get pieces in your dryer vent if you choose to dry it so be sure to clean the lint trap. hope this helps.
