Oil-immersed series reactor

1.      Purpose

Seriesreactor is mainly used in compensator with parallel, in series with shuntcapacitor , limited the inrush current of switch on during switching capacitor, check the distortion of voltage waveform, remove damage to capacitor ofharmonic and impulse current. In some network and electrical equipment, connected with series reactor as a current-limiting protection, in order tolimit sudden change of the current.

2.      Characteristics

(1) No electromagnetic,no pollution: the reactor is derived from iron core for magnetic circuit, withthe cover for magnetic field shield; there is no electromagnetic pollution onthe environment

(2) Low losses,obvious energy-saving effects, eliminated maintenance.

(3) Small in size,fine appearance

3.      Voltage grade:6KV~35KV

Q: I quest it will be a big surprise to everybody. a) He will make a big party on earth. b) It will be a new beginning. c) It is the end of the happy moment on earth.
Most people on earth will be terrified, and rightly so. Party OVER.
Q: if you've heard of the wilhelm scream, is there an equivalent for an electricity crackling sound?I've heard it in Star Wars, many cartoons, probably Spider-man (it's like imagine when some big electrical equipment goes wrong and starts producing sparks, or when you have some space laser gun that stuns people).Any idea?
I think it comes from Frankenstein, with all that electrical equipment they used
Q: Here is the deal. I am majoring in Software Engineering. Which includes a fair bit of coding. I wanna be that guy who can make a robot or a Cell phone or Mp3 player or some sort of gadget. I want to do a dual degree with software engineering. So that i can do the software and make the device. So the plan is like this. If i make a robot i can write code too to make it move and all so that just eliminates 2 minds work. So i want to know which is the appropriate branch. Electrical or the Mechanical. What is the diffence between the two. I went to a college a few days ago and the guy there had made a robotic car. I forget if his major was EE or ME but he was doing Computer science minor. Can someone tell me what it could be ?? I want to make electronic devices. So like you can say that i want to make an iPhone sitting at home all by myself. Which 1 should i pick. Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't make a lot of difference. I know a electrical engineer who is a real expert on mechanical equipment of all kinds. I know an mechanical engineer who is an expert in most things electrical or electronic. Once you have the basic engineering skills you can train yourself in any other area if you have a serious interest.
Q: Ever since I was a little kid I could tell when there is a T.V on in a house when I walk by. I get this feeling inside like I can sense the signal or something with my brain. When I walk closer to the T.V the feeling gets stronger. If there is a T.V left on in my house with no sound or picture playing, I am still able to sense that the T.V was left on, and pinpoint the exact room its in without even going inside. Does this happen to anyone else?
I can, too. I just don't know why (I assume it's radio waves). I was in class once (science) during high school and the television behind me was completely black and not making noise, but I could feel it was on. My teacher thought she turned it off with the remote after the morning broadcast, but I could still feel it was on. So when she came over near my side of the room I told her it was still on, so she pushed the off button on the side and it turned off. She asked me how I knew that- if I saw it or heard it. I tried to explain I could FEEL it was on and she looked at me as if I was crazy. So I've always been confused why can some people feel it and some can't? I can feel security tvs at Walmart as well, and pin point their location from the feeling. Anyway, after I tried to explain that to a couple people (friends, family) and everyone gave me weird looks I just decided to keep it to myself.
Q: I'm doing research for a project and am having a hard time nailing this one down. On that same note, what is a panel in the electrical engineering realm?
Hardware: The definition in the first link below is correct by me. the physical artifacts of a technology. So it is all the bits and pieces, transformers, insulators etc. that you would find in an electrical shop, or electrical company's store. Electrical Panel An Electrical Panel is talking of switch board panels in one sense. See the carebase link below. The thing in the picture, for example, mounts in a larger cabinet. They are standardised in dimensions. However electrical panels includes all sorts of things that mount in what I call equipment housings. Search Google images electrical panel and you will get the idea. Anything that mounts electrical stuff on it, ready to go in a box. Service panels is a term now used for household fuse box etc. in the US it seems. These are meter boxes, switchboards, fuse boxes, distribution panel to me, though I have seen service panels as an architect's term. It can apply to things like network cabling panels too. I should mention control panels, intended for operators to interact with the system. The meaning of electrical panel depends on context and regional language.
Q: I know that B is flammable liquid and C is electrical equipment. thanks.
Solid combustibles, like wood and paper.
Q: I mean for SF6 (gas) containers used to refill electrical quipment such as circuit breakers, must the container be discharged completely, or is it possible to retain a partial amount of SF6 gas in the container for future refilling activities? Any electrical experts out there, would really appreciate your assistance with this. Thanks!
Check the MSDS sheet for safe transport. Is a seal broken before use? Do the containers get returned after use or are they discarded (how?). Your local power company must have info because they use this stuff at switching stations.
Q: I have a 1992 F-150 with a 5.0 302 in it. Last week she started going haywire. My battery wasn't holding a charge, my spedometer was bouncing up and down and my mileage read was coming in and out. I had the diagnostics test done from Auto-Zone that tested your battery, alternator, and starter. They said that my alternator had low power output but everything else was fine. My dad (he's a mechanic) said I had to replace my voltage connectors on my alternator. We did that and she acted fine for about a week. Battery was holding a charge, no problems at all. A couple days ago, my battery light popped on and the battery is not holding a charge AT ALL. I constantly have to charge it. Any ideas on what the new issue could be?
change the alternator and make sure the belt is good and tight ! your voltage regulator is inside the alternator and it,s acting up !
Q: If I bring my laptop (North America 60Hz) and use it in Europe (50Hz), would it work properly? If so, does that mean my laptop/power cord has a frequency converter?
When traveling between countries, there are 3 considerations for electronic/electrical equipment. The plug The voltage The frequency Adapter plugs and voltage converters are easily available, either separately or as part of a kit. There are no frequency adapters. But that's not a problem. Frequency is only a consideration if you're operating motor-driven equipment, such as fans, compressors, vacuum cleaners, etc. Motor speed is dependent upon frquency and lower frequency causes them to run slower and build up more heat, eventually burning out. Your hair dryer, shaver, electric toothbrush, etc, is not so subject to damage because the motor is small and you only use it for short periods on occasional durations. Back to your computer; most electronic equipment must be supplied with AC power, but that power is converted inside the device by its power supply to a DC voltage. Such is the case with your computer. Even the motors, such as fans and drives, inside your computer are DC driven. Power supplies don't care about the difference between 50 - 60 hz and simply converts either one to 0 hz. Bottom line is that you do not have to worry about frequency for your computer in Europe. It's quite likely, though, that must make sure that you have the voltage converter OR that your computer is switchable for different countries.
Q: Affect Health? Noise problem?
Depends on the devices, I lived below a cell tower (literally 1m over head, installed on the top of my building). After doing as much research as I could on it, I found that no one really knows for certain the effects of radio waves on humans. If your major concern is just large voltage electricals, the greatest risks are fire, a small magnetic field might interfere with your devices occasionally, and constant low hum.
